Little concerned, this looks extra red for HS

Little concerned, this looks extra red for HS

We lanced it at the clinic a week or two ago. and now it feels like it’s coming back with a vengeance :( feels different from my normal HS. Been taking doxy twice a day. So frustrating

Coming back

The spot on my arm felt a bit better after lancing. Been taking the antibiotics every day twice a day. The past couple days it felt very itchy and now I feel like I’m watching it in real time fill up again, it’s getting red and warm and feels heavy :( I’m so heartbroken. I don’t know what to do.

Is hair loss truly unavoidable?

I’m trying to eat my protein and keep my calories up and maybe I need to add a multivitamin… but it’s like as soon as I broke into the 150’s again: hair loss. Pissing me off. But oh well. My wedding is in February and I’d rather wear hair extensions than cry about feeling or looking fat. Hair is easier to fix or hide than fat I think :/ if you’re at your goal weight or have lost a substantial amount already 50+ and didn’t experience hair loss or you used to but now you don’t— what did you do to prevent it? Thanks

Only doing .05 every third day but seeing amazing results!

I think I have some perioral dermatitis. I rushed too soon to every other day and added azalaic acid too fast and damaged my barrier so bad, took a break for a week or two and now here is where I’m at! I think if I see no redness or irritation for a few weeks I’ll up it to once every other day I think!

Routine:
Tret .05 every 3rd night
Prequel gleanser only on days no makeup, oil cleanser with makeup days
Byoma milky toner
Vanicream daily moisturizer
Atoderm moisturizer

Morning:
Water
Madagascar centella
Hyaluronic acid
Milky toner
Phyto mucin
Vanicream moisturizer
Haruharu sunscreen

Athene cicalfate if seeing redness and irritation

I USE THE SANDWICH METHOD MY SKIN DID NOT LIKE DRY SKIN TRET IDK WHY

Fun update: I needed the medication… 28F SW: 212, CW: 154 GW: 145

oh and I’m 5”8 sorry forgot to add.

You guys were right. I started using a glp PLUS all the amazing habits I built with protein and fiber focused meals, walking and fasting and it has been a life changing boost. I will admit, nothing quiets food noise like a glp, the protein and fiber can help with fullness and hunger but nothing else could stop the food noise. My original post was never to put those down who used the shot, I just was desperate to find a way to accomplish the same goals without it, due to price issues, nausea and fear of dependency. Now I don’t care.

Since starting the glp, but changing none of my habits (at least not conscientiously) (just takes out those little extra bites you don’t notice I guess) I’m down 40 pounds since September, (60 pounds from my highest weight ever in 2024). This med has been life changing for me and finding my proper dosing, (low and slow) and eating correctly and exercise has improved everything. I couldn’t break out past 179 for a couple months and now I’m 154. I still track my calories, I still hit my steps, I still track my protein and NOW I’m even going to the gym 3x a week. I never want to yo-yo back. If that means using this med forever I will. But I’m focusing on good habits and strong foundations with tracking and exercises that hopefully help me forever. CICO is the ANSWER. But some people need a little help tipping the scale I believe when it comes to fighting medical conditions or predetermined factors (like my PCOS.) thank you for all your help and advice. I cannot believe I’m 10 pounds from my goal weight.

Feeling gratitude to my before! 40 pounds down!!!

I’m so unkind to “old me” in my head sometimes, but SHE got me to where I am today and I’m so thankful and proud! She woke up everyday and pushed for the me today. Did the journey “natural” til February and started lightly dosing tirz. I don’t think I’m ever getting off this amazing med! 15 down without the shot, 25 down with the shot. Wish I started it sooner, but I established and practiced better habits and then accelerated the progress with the medicine. Current dose: 6 mg. SW: 195 GW:145 CW: 155

Simple is better!

Not perfect but getting better! Taking a break from Tret (7-10 days) using a sandwich method and going back to every 3 days, taking out azalaic acid, and only double cleansing when I wear makeup.
Prequel gleanser, Tret .05, byoma milky toner, good molecules hylauronic acid, vanicream daily moisturizer, bioderma atoderm.

Attempting to spruce up front yard!

Florida girl but going for more of a cottage vibe than tropical! Our hibiscus died from the crazy freeze this year but they’re coming back! The pots behind bed are full of zinnias and cosmos! Hopefully it looks nice soon, would love tips! Thinking of putting jasmine on the trellis behind it against the wall…

In love with our engagement photos.

My best friend, who is a talented photographer (undiscovered if you ask me) did these for us and we still have an engagement session included in our wedding photographers package, so more to come!

I’m so in love with our engagement photos.

It was drizzling rain and kind of a last minute thing but my best friend who’s so good at photography lived right nearby this stunning garden and I’m obsessed with how they came out.

23 pounds down, 15 weeks later. Just went up to 5mg 2 weeks ago. I love this medicine!

(Wish the angles were more even)

Think I’m gonna pull back and do every other night tret and maybe azalaic acid alternative mornings! I just sprayed some avene thermal spray and lathered on avene cicalfate. It’s not burning though, just randomly got red and inflamed as the day went on after 3 consecutive tret nights.

Pretty sure my skin didn’t actually look better before Tret but it’s starting to feel like it lmao! It’s been about 2 months. I started very low and slow and sandwiched so I think I delayed real turnover til recently. Now I do every other night and have also added Azelaic acid 15% every morning! I’ve had basically no irritation or burning or peeling and my skin seems to tolerate it well! Not using any actives right now either!
