In cure mode, how do I stop people from panicking about dying??
Even when trying to lower the lethality/infection rate, the authority keep collapsing. Any tips?

I've seen another post with similar looking shoes, and a lot of answers said to use "OxiClean". I looked it up and it seems to be very common in the US, but it barely exists in Europe/France. Does anyone know what I could use? For now I just tried mixing dish soap and baking soda, it worked on some smaller stains, but I need something stronger.
(Also I should note that the shoes are (supposed to be) white, they're still wet so they appear more off-white in the picture than what they normally are)
For context I'm a native french speaker, I started learning english at a young age and by high school I was B2 (I passed the Cambridge english test. I got B2 but I was extremely close to getting the C1 certificate). I also consume movies, videos and social media in english on a daily basis.
In 2020, around the time I took the test, I started reading books in english. The first one I read was the devil wears prada. There were around 1 to maybe 5 words per page I didn't know on average and had to look up in a dictionary every time. Then, I bought a Kindle and started to read 1984, but it was too complicated (especially the vocabulary) so I gave up.
After that I wanted to try easier books, so I started to read the first Harry Potter books. But even the first one was a bit complicated, I had to look up a lot of words. Same thing happened for the first three books.
Then I started 2001: A Space Odyssey, but it was boring and still a bit complicated so I gave up.
The only books that I could almost read without having to look up words all the time were the ones from Freida McFadden. I read 5 of her books and really enjoyed them.
Finally, I recently started to read I am legend, I'm currently at 36% but it's very difficult to read.
The point is, I feel like I didn't get any better in 6 years. I thought that Kindles were perfect to learn a language, but it's actually so slow I prefer to use a dictionary on my phone. One of the main pieces of advice I've seen is to just ignore words you don't know, but like how? Most of the time I have no idea what the sentence means unless I know all the words (plus I'm curious).
I would love to be able to read some english classics without it feeling like a chore.
Ironically I sometimes write short stories in english, but I still need to constantly look up vocabulary. I'm also learning German and vocabulary is my biggest issue too. It's like it won't stay in my brain. What can I do for that?
Bonjour,
I've never seen anything like that and can't find anything about it online. How does this happen? (It's the old standalone version of Episode 2 if that changes anything)
I've heard that the song Copines by Aya Nakamura was popular in China, so I downloaded Douyin on my phone and searched for the song to see what people were saying about it. And surprisingly 100% of the comments are about how people can't listen to the song next to their parents or saying that people from Xinjiang could understand the lyrics.
What does it mean? Does it sound like it has a different meaning in Chinese or Uyghur or another common language in China?
I've been playing on and off for years trying to get all the achievements, in the past days/weeks I tried playing everyday to get the last missing achievement (Unspoppable). Today, I finally won for the 20th time in a row... Then no achievement. I looked into Steam and somehow the achievement stopped counting right at 19.
I tried going back to my profile, restarting the game, but nothing worked. So I started a new game, ended up with someone who had an 80% ratio. Lost, and now I'm back to 0.
At least I've been getting better the more I play, so it will be easier but still...
I'm watching the whole series all over again, and I noticed that there are some editing issues in the Disney+ version.
This image comes from season 1 episode 28. In this episode on Disney+, during the interview, none of the screens have been replaced. But that's not the only thing, during the whole series there are missing transitions, or sometimes no audio during transitions, etc.
99% of the series is fine, but I wonder what happened? It looks like they used a pre-release version of the series where the editing was not fully done yet.
For such a complete 3D game I'm impressed it's less than 2 GB. Even Tomodachi Life on Switch is more than 4 times this size!
Sure it's not an open world and there are a lot of reused assets throughout the game, but so is Luigi's Mansion 3 and its 6.3 GB size.
In an era of unoptimized games, it's always refreshing to see what optimization looked like.
Some newer comparable Nintendo games for comparaison:
I finally got the Getting Defensive achievement, which means I only have Unspoppable left. But how are you supposed to win 20 sequential quick play battles?
The only achievement guide on the internet literally just says to cheat by playing with yourself using another device. Is there another way?

For context, yesterday for the first time ever in my appartement I found two brown-banded cockroaches. The first one near my sink and a few hours later a second one in my fridge.
Is this a decapitated cockroach? I tried looking around for the rest of the body but couldn't find anything else
It's a 2014 vine from French youtuber Amixem, there's no way they knew about this video
It happened a few times when playing in defense mode. At some point I notice that all of a sudden, half of the upcoming bloons on my side are camo. But how is this possible? Is this a power? Because even when watching the replay I don't see a power being activated.
