Can I use saphir pommadier cream polish to restore color to the scales of these lizard boots?

Can I use saphir pommadier cream polish to restore color to the scales of these lizard boots?

I purchased these Tecovas Nolan second hand online and in certain lighting there are a couple of spots that stick out like this. The scales don’t appear to actually be scuffed, but they are definitely lacking color compared to those nearby.

Is this normal for lizard skin and or could I use a pigmented polish such as saphir to help bring some color back to these scales?

Is there a product that can darken these worn looking spots on these lizard skin boots?

Just got these second-hand on eBay. I know they look scraped in the photos but in person they really don’t appear to have been scuffed, rather, the scales in these two sections just look like they don’t have the same color to them as the rest.

Even if it requires going over the whole boots, is there a product that will get all of the color uniform that is safe/effective in genuine lizard skin? I already own some brown saphir cream polish - would that be safe to use?

Are these chinos too skinny?

Is it maybe just the angle from looking down into a mirror, or are these chinos too skinny?

This is the J Crew skinny fit - purchased them a couple years ago not sure if they are even still in the J Crew lineup.

Can pigmented shoe cream polish be used on lizard skin?

Just got these second hand cowboy boots and up close, these two spots stick out to me as having scales that are lighter than the rest. They don’t appear to be scuffed though so I am not sure what is causing this?

Anyways - could pigmented shoe cream polish take care of this or would that be a bad idea? Any other suggestions or ideas on at least what is causing the discoloration?

V/Blackwing maintenance and repairs compared to BMW M?

Curious if anyone has made the switch from an M BMW to a Cadillac V/Blackwing and your experience or even just the general consensus on how much better (if any) the Cadillacs are on maintenance and repairs vs the BMW?

I currently have a 2018 M4 with 42k miles and just got hit with a $5k repair bill today between an oil change, brake fluid flush, and repairs for TWO separate oil leaks (not to mention there is a $1k AC issue that I passed on repairing). I absolutely love my M4 but I’m getting tired of this. I have also had probably $3k of repairs prior to this over the 3.5 yrs I have owned the car.

I know that’s what you sign up for with the German cars, but I really don’t care for anything Japanese or American - except the Cadillac CT4/5V blackwings that have recently caught my attention.

How much less of a headache would one of those be? Frequency of maintenance/repairs aside - when something does go wrong, do the V’s still command a high-end / specialized shop (similar to how the Germans require a euro shop) or can really any general reputable mechanic work on them since they are American at the end of the day?

First pair of lizard boots - is this normal?

Just got these second hand Tecovas off of eBay. It doesn’t stick out much from afar, but either under direct light or close up - there are a couple of spots where the scales are much lighter, almost like color has rubbed off even though they don’t appear to be scraped or anything.

Is this normal for a used pair? The boots generally have reddish undertones on the scales, but these sections look almost pale/pink.

Are these dark spots possibly bruising?

Just picked up these second hand Tecovas Nolan in Teju lizard. Are these dark spots possibly bruising or likely something else? They don’t really bother me as you can only see them under direct light and they don’t even look bad, but just curious if that is a thing with this kind of leather?

Can anyone recommend a product (and possibly color) for me to use to dye this lizard belt darker to better match these lizard boots?

I simply changed my work title and LinkedIn notified my feed of a promotion? Embarrassed.

All I did was shorten the existing job title I have (similar to shortening “Vice President” to “VP”) and LinkedIn annoyingly notified my network of this. I now have people reaching out congratulating me on my promotion.

I have since turned the “notify network” setting to “off” but I am still getting profile views and outreach so I think it’s still on my followers feeds. This is so annoying and embarrassing. I have been in this role for a year I don’t want people to think I just got it.

Any fix?

How to remove this water welt from dress shoe?

This was not due to rain - I have only worn these once on a sunny day. I think it arose after I used the restroom at work - I think I washed my hands and a drop of soapy water landed on the shoe.

I have already tried blotting with a vinegar/water solution and it doesn’t look like that is working.

Anyone missing all ossicles but hearing is ok with prosthetics?

I’ve had 3 surgeries to remove cholesteatoma now which have led to removal of all my ossicles in the operated ear and my hearing in that ear is maybe 20% of what it used to be if I had to guess. There was a period between surgeries where I did not have either my ossicles or any prosthetics, and while I now have prosthetics, my hearing didn’t improve at all from when I didn’t have any.

Just curious if anyone noticed improvement from prosthetics in general or if they have tried multiple versions and one worked better than the other as I am now losing hope that my hearing can ever be improved by prosthetics. Maybe I am vain but I am young and single and am not ready for hearing aids so was really hoping there would be another solution.

Anyone else experience this? I had a CWD about a year ago and then a follow up surgery about 6 months ago to put in some prosthetic hearing bones.

I was at a networking event yesterday that was located at a very crowded/loud bar and my operated ear was going crazy - it sounded like I had a radio in my ear that was on static that kept fading in and out. The internal noise of this static sound was so loud I could barely hear the actual noise around me over it. Super uncomfortable feeling.

I feel like the cases I have seen where people tried each, they had more success on oral. However I have been on oral over year and haven’t seen much improvement so I will be adding topical (fwiw I am on 5mg oral and will start 5mg topical - and my dermatologist is aware of this).

Looking for hope that topical will make a difference.

Been on oral minox for a year and haven’t seen much results. Saw my dermatologist today and he said I can try adding topical minox to help boost beard growth.

I picked up some Kroger brand 5% foam but I’m seeing that this stuff takes 4 hrs to absorb?? My current skincare is as follows so trying to decide if I can simply throw it in as the first step in each my morning/night routine or if applying the rest directly after will actually hinder results?

Morning after shower:

  1. Moisturizer

  2. Sunscreen

Night after washing face:

  1. Tretinoin

  2. Moisturizer
