About display quality/clarity/comfort

Wondering if someone knowledgable can help me understand.

I don't know the technical details 100%, but from direct experience:

Kobo Clara bw's display compared to the Boox Page is so much better, I almost can't describe it. So much crisper, much less ghosting, so much more comfortable on the eyes. I feel a bit... queasy/tired? after long sessions on the Page.

Is it he panel (Carta 1200 vs 1300)?

Is it the recessed screen (no plastic lens over the display)?

Is it the actually orange warm light vs the greenish one?

Is it the front light tech and its frequency? I know some people have sensitivity to this on phones and other devices and have to pick models accordingly.

Is it software/firmware quality somehow, also affecting things like refresh rate and other factors?

My experience is just that reading the same book, using koreader, on each device, is so massively nicer on the Kobo that the Boox

I understand that on paper they should be the more or less the same (?) but my experience is they are definitely not. What's going on?

Typing fast

On Boox Page

I feel like I have to type very slowly for all my presses to register. If i type faster, a bunch of taps get skipped.

Is this a known thing, refresh rate issue or similar?

Any tips?

Thanks

How bad is this rust? (Buying advice)

Considering this 2014 Golf 7.

I need a relatively cheap car that still drives well. This one is a 1.4 liter ACT 140hp highline trim, and doesn't pop up too often (most are 1-1.2). I felt the engine here is probably worth some compromises in other areas (price, looks), since I want to take long trips.

But is the rust too bad to consider this? I see a lot of bubbling

Struggling with judder (on pan), unable to find the right settings

Example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MiUHjLxm3V0&t=725

Panning shot from 12:04

I have tried with all the truemotion settings, presets, and user settings.

This is from an nvidia shield tv connected to a c5. The video in question is 23.976 fps (probably 95% of the content I watch is as well) and the display is set to match the framerate.

I get that panning shots are just juddery by nature since the framerate is low, but I thought the interlacing would be better (I don't mind the soap opera effect for some content)

Any tips?

Best graphics settings for Control ultimate editionx fps vs resolution vs ray tracing

On gfn ultimate, using the native webos gfn app on a 4k 120hz display.

With DLLS, rendering res at native (2160p) and everything maxed, I can get around 60 fps on the 5080 rigs

To get 120fps I have to set the rendering res to 1080p if I want to keep everything else maxed (RT etc)

What would you do? Low res + RT maxed and play at 120fps or full res and RT maxed and play at 60fps?

Any other tips?

Also, with a dualshock 4 controller, is there anyway to make the touchpad button work in gfn? Because Control has that set as a shortcut for opening collectibles as you pick them up (PS-controller exclusive I think) but gfn doesn't register that button press (Xbox layout under the hood maybe?)
