Sometimes it's your best friend

My husband and I have been friends since high school. We've known each other for almost 20 years. Looking back, I can't believe I was so oblivious. He thought I was attractive from the very start. But I was dating someone else so he kept it to himself. He would always go out of his way to help me and never made me feel uncomfortable. He was a stellar friend and human being is how I felt. I went out of state and had a child then he offered me a place to stay with him because I was in an abusive situation with my daughter's dad. He had just gotten out of an abusive 10 year relationship. One day he just confessed that he missed me when I was gone and that he was in love with me. We got married a year later. We're still newlyweds but sometimes your soul mate is literally your best friend.

So called friend called me names and blocked me because I didn't have money to send her.

My knee has just started acting up and I already wasn't in the mood for bullshit when a long time friend (we'll call her J) hit me up saying she needed 35 dollars from me. I have 15 dollars to my name that I have to use on pain relief creams and meds until I get in to see my doctor. I have loaned her money before. I never saw it back and never made a big deal of it. I calmly told J that I didn't have money right now but I could see if our other friend could help her. I hit our other friend up (let's call him P).

P said not to give J a cent because she's spending recklessly and already asked P for 150 dollars that P gave her 2 days ago. P told me that J's social security disability pay was more than mine and that if I'm making it work and J can't then it's J's problem. I told J that P said he can't help either. She asked me why I even talked to P. That's when I revealed that I know he sent her 150 dollars 2 days ago and that she gets more money than me per month.

That's when J called me a dirty, trifling bitch and said I didn't know what it's like to be a single mom. I pointed out that I was a single mom before I married my husband and that she doesn't have her kids. After that, she called me a drug addict piece of shit (I used to use meth but I'm in recovery) and called my daughter slow. I told her to lose my number because I was already having a bad day but this bitch was on bridge burning time. Let the bridge burn. I'm never helping her again.

I'm sick of being fat.

I know this is on me, but I'm still allowed to not like it. I'm 230 pounds and only 5'2. My husband sees nothing wrong with me and lives the same unhealthy lifestyle as me but he stays skinny somehow. Most of the time, he even eats more than me yet he doesn't gain weight and I do. I don't want to diet and exercise alone. I want him to help me by doing it with me. I've brought this up to him and he said we'll do it when we have time. We never have time. My A1C is high. I probably will be diabetic soon.

My husband loves my pot roast so much that he gets greedy.

So I have a pot roast recipe passed down from my best friend's Nana. It was the best pot roast I ever had and her grandmother loved me so much she'd call me her black grandchild (she was Scottish). So she gave me the recipe. I have cooked pot roast like that ever since. Problem is, my husband thinks it's the best pot roast ever too. There's never leftovers and he eats 80 percent of it. And somehow he's the skinny one to add insult to injury. This man. Smh.

What's the best way to cook chicken thighs that doesn't cost an arm and a leg?

Me and my husband are on hard times so we're getting cheap cuts of chicken. I know nothing about thighs. Help.

AIO My daughter's grandma posted a video of her online and I'm not okay with it.

She posted a video of my daughter while talking about my daughter being autistic. I'm autistic too and I know that the fact my daughter is a cute kid combined with that will attract massive creeps. I don't want my daughter going viral. I had the same conversation with her grandma before when she tried to get my daughter to model for a brand. I have no intention of exploiting my kid and I would appreciate it if she didn't either. My baby is 5 years old.

I'm really clingy.

I am up my husband's ass. I mean I want to be with him all the time and I stopped doing much else besides my school work. I paint and read and I haven't done either of those things lately. Because by the time I'm done with college stuff, I just want to be with my husband. Is this unhealthy?

I'm so hot for my husband because he defended my honor.

His friend's grown daughter called me fat and my husband said "My wife is prettier at a size 20 than you are at a size 2. You need to apologize." And she said she was sorry and next time I saw her, she kissed my ass. That's not the only time he ever defended me but it was the most recent. He's bald and I'm shaped like a busted can of biscuits but to us, we are sexy motherfuckers. Hottest bald man ever. And he loves me. ❤️

My husband's friend tried to convince him to leave me but she didn't know I was in the room and she was on speaker.

My husband and I are very in love. I'm fat and he's bald and so what? We're cute to each other. Lol. Anyway, we had just watched a movie together called The Shift (if you're a Christian I recommend that movie), when his friend V called. V talked to my husband for a bit and I was kinda being quiet because that's my personality. I was about to open my mouth to recommend this movie when V says "how are you gonna support her for life? She's expensive to keep I'm sure" and my husband defended me and said I actually get money too from school and disability. And then she said "You two are just so culturally different". We're both black people who grew up like white people. He was adopted by white people and my parents were mixed but hated rap and stuff. He asked her what she's trying to imply and I said "why are you trying to make my husband leave me, V. Two faced bitch." And she said "it's not what you think. Why didn't you tell me OP could hear me?" She hung up after 8 awkward minutes.
