Milk & Solids Schedule - 10 month old

My little guy is approaching 10 months & just wondering how everyone else is scheduling feeds (both milk & solids)?

Still EBF and he takes solids like a champ. Currently doing 4 milk feeds a day (upon waking, after nap 1 & after nap 2 & before bed), along with breakfast, lunch & dinner solids.

Pram toy recommendations - 12 months

My little guy is 9.5 months old and is really needing something to occupy him in the pram/car. What are we all using?

I think anything for 12 month olds plus would be suitable.

9mo early wakes

My 9mo, who we sleep trained around 7 months, now sleeps through the night - which is great!

The past few mornings I've noticed him waking a bit earlier than usual (usual being 6:15-6:45am - I never get him out of bed before 6:30am unless he's upset etc), now waking at around 5:30am-5:45am.

I'm thinking he is ready for a schedule change. Current wake windows are 2.5/3/3.5.

Nap 1 is around 9:00/9:30am for around an hour (this one is usually pretty consistent but yesterday was short, so don't know if that's a new thing or a one off)

Nap 2 is around 1pm/1:30pm for around 1.5 hours (sometimes a little longer)

Bedtime usually lands somewhere between 6pm-6:30pm.

Thoughts?

Petite Jeans

I am 5"3 (size 6) and am finding it soo hard to buy a pair of straight leg jeans that are either made specifically for petites or cropped so that I can wear them.

8.5 month old early wake

We have previously sleep trained & although it was a bit of a slow process, we are finally sleeping through the night which is great!

The past few days he has been waking up very early - usually around 4:30am although will put himself back to sleep. Then awake again at 5:30am - it's here he can sometimes settle himself, but sometimes can't. If he settles, we can limp towards around 6:15am.

Our current wake windows are 2.5/3/3.5

My question is if it's a possible scheduling issue now that he's a smidge older (our sleep consultant told me he would be on this schedule for a while yet, but I know things can change on a dime)? Or more developmental?

Any advice would be great!

Thank you 🙏

Mild PD Flare Up

Hello!

I've only had PD once before, 3 or 4 years ago, however I seem to now be having another flare up. Albeit mild, it's super annoying & I'd like to be able to try to treat it without antibiotics.

The congestion/rash/whatever you want to call it is mainly in my smile lines, but has also come up on my eyelids.

To preface, I am 8 months post partum- so not sure this has anything to do with it or not 🤷‍♀️

My usual skincare routine is:

AM - wash face with water only

Vitamin C

Hyaluronic Acid moisturiser

PM - double cleanse (once with cerave oil cleanser & once with cerave cream to foam cleanser)

Alpha H Liquid Gold every second night

Medik8 Retinal 3 on alternate nights

La Roche Cicaplast Baume (I find I need something quite rich at night)

I've stopped all actives for the time being, and also the cicaplast as I've read this can sometimes be too much during a flare up.

Trying my son's zinc nappy cream, not getting any worse but not clearing either.

Has anyone got any tips?

Thank you! 🙏

Tips on getting 7.5 month old EBF bub to take a bottle

Hello!

As the title suggests, it's time for my little boob monster of a 7.5 month old to try and start taking a bottle.

He used to take one every so often as a newborn, and naively I just thought he would hang onto this skill 🤦‍♀️

He has rejected most of my attempts so far, but just wondering if anyone has any magical wizardry they could share with me to help the process along? I've read that perhaps I should skip the bottle and just go straight to a straw instead - has anyone had any success there?

Any tips or tricks welcome!

We are currently sleep training our little guy (with the help of a sleep consultant). He's 7.5 months old and we are just shy of 2 weeks into the training.

Morning nap is going pretty well - ranging anywhere from 45mins to 1.25 hours.

Lunch nap is soo inconsistent - with majority landing 1hr or under and ending around 2pm. This timing is no good as it makes for a too early bed time.

Our consultant says 2nd wake window should be 2.5-3 hours maximum. Do we agree with this?

Even with a 6pm bedtime - 4 hours I feel is too long at this age (?) So ending up having to do a bridging nap later in the afternoon - which is not only a pain in the ass but also about to be unrealistic with me returning to work shortly.

He is cutting his top teeth at the moment, so I'm sure that has a little to do with it (the nights were going well, but the last night or two he has been quite Unsettled).

Any advice?

Thank you!

As the title suggests, I'm trying to get my 7.5 month old, boob obsessed son to take a bottle. Not necessarily to replace all feeds, but just one a day at this stage.

I'm trying to just introduce once or twice a day. Sometimes he is receptive, sometimes will completely push it away. I'm not forcing it, as I don't want to create a negative connotation with it. But, is there any type of bottle feeding wizardry I should be trying??
