[LF] Juvenile siamese algae eater

I have a bit of black beard algae growing in one of my tanks. Want to try a SAE. Anyone have a juvenile for sale, or know of a store that carries it?

The struggle is real.

Supposely, my AHI is 33. I had a particularly bad night during my sleep study. Before my CPAP, I tried many things. I ended up elevating one side of my bed, and using a chin strap. According to SnoreLabs, my AHI with these modifications are about 1-4 per hour.

When using my CPAP, my Apple Watch often records 10-20 Awakes a night. Without my CPAP, maybe 1-5. I definitely feel less rested with my CPAP. It also gives me chronic sore throats and I just got a cough from it last week. Sometimes, I wake up with pains in my heart area (I have some angina from MVP) when using CPAP.

I wonder if I was misdiagnosed (my doctor said no), and if the CPAP is causing me more harm than good.

Not looking for any answers. Just wanted to complain and think out loud.

Basic question - how do you "share" accounts using passkeys?

A web service I use is enforcing passkeys. I am able to create the passkey and tie it to Windows Hello PIN on the client computer, which is remote. Now, I want to share this web service account. I can create a new passkey with the person I want to share it with, who wants to add the passkey to his iPhone. So, the web service shows a QR code, but neither I nor the other person is able to scan it through a remote connection. When we scan it on our Apple devices, it's stuck on "Connecting...." but never does anything. What are we doing wrong?

Is the proper way of sharing an account to create multiple passkeys to save on multiple devices/platforms?

Musescore is a scam. Don't use them. That is all.

Like everyone else, I got tricked into paying Musescore. They're refusing the refund so I'll just do a chargeback with my credit card, but what a colossal waste of time.

I regret using them and giving them my credit card details. I would advise everyone to just stop using them, as I will do. Don't feed the predators.

Best way to make a notched panel?

Say I have a piece of plywood. Let's say I want to make some 1/8" deep horizontal line cuts in them, about 1/8" apart, along the whole piece of plywood. Measurements don't have to be exact.

What is the best way of doing this, or does such a panel exist commercially that I can purchase (either wood or plastic)?

Noticed 2 planaria in new tank... starve them?

I am setting up a new tank with some plants I purchased. The tank has no substrate (moss floor). Unfortunately, I noticed 2 brown planaria in the tank today. I don't really want to treat with medication I don't have. Is it possible to completely starve the tank to kill them? I don't have any other life in the tank since it's a new tank that I've been cycling.

I just need a little bit of each for a small walstad jar. If you know a store that carry them, that would work too. Thank you.

Thinking of adding bladder snails to paludarium...

I'm thinking of dropping some bladder snails into my paludarium with adults and some baby vampire crabs. I would drop some into the water area, and some into the terrestrial so they are easier for the crabs to hunt and eat. However, I read that the shells need to be removed to prevent fouling the tank. Is fouling a big issue? ie - what happens if I don't see the shells and they start rotting?

Good idea or bad idea?

Ryzen 5700G - always crash, part 2

This is a followup to https://old.reddit.com/r/AMDHelp/comments/1sqe0n6/asus_b550ma_wifi_amd_5700g_always_crash/

So - I got crazy and I bought extra parts because, of my many decades in tech, I have never seen this issue in my life before.

Here's the update - I purchased some extra parts, now I have:

  • 2 Ryzen 5700G
  • 1 Ryzen 3300X
  • 2 AM4 mobos (Asus B550M-A Wifi and Gigabit B550M-K)
  • 6 sticks of DDR4 RAM (2 x 2400Mhz, 2 x 3000Mhz, 2 x 3200Mhz)
  • 2 PSUs (450 watt, 800 watt)
  • 3 NVME drives
  • 4 different USB sticks with 3 different Windows installers (Win11 x 2, Win10 installer, Linux Live USB)
  • 2 GPUs (RTX 3050, and a super old Geforce card)

The short of it is this: Any combination of any builds utilizing the Ryzen 3300X is stable - no issues at all. Any combination of any builds utilizing either of the Ryzen 5700G CPUs (on ANY motherboard, memory, or PSU combination, with or without GPU card), running ANY OS or installer, will crash usually around the 1 minute 30 seconds mark.

This is insane, and I cannot find an explanation or resolution to this. It seems like the 5700G CPUs simply do not work with anything I throw at it. I would accept it if it's one CPU (then it could be defective), but the same issue occurs on either of the 5700G CPUs, and they were bought from different sources.

I've also tried every single BIOS option (TPM, Secure Boot, fast boots, RAM optimizations, CPU optimizations, etc) on both motherboards. BIOS are up to date on both mobos. I also tried BIOS reset through motherboard jumpers.

I've also tried in and out of computer case, to eliminate the case factor.

So my question is this - does the 5700G CPU simply not work with anything? That's my experience so far...

How to feed babies?

Babies were born about 2 weeks ago, and I'm not sure they're getting enough food. I suppose they are feeding on moss. I have springtails, but I'm not sure the baby crabs can get to them. I put little caps of ground up flakes and pellets, but I don't think the crabs can get to them (the adults do, or the caps are too high). I sprinkle some food right on the damp areas where the babies are, but then it gets really moldy quickly.

What's the proper way of feeding babies in a tank with adults?

I bought some aquatic plants from u/wolfsoul2022. He was very communicative and super quick with shipping. The plants look great. Would buy from again. Thank you!
