Award Ticket - No Rebooking Policy
I had my flight cancelled by QR in April and they refused me any option other than a refund because it was booked with Avios, not cash
I was told on several calls that if I had had a cash booking, they would have flown me from AKL (having cancelled all AKL flights for several months) to SYD or MEL to join a QR flight home but because I had an award flight, this was not available to me so all I could do was pay cash at the last minute for a new flight which was obviously very expensive
I am trying to make a travel insurance claim, is there anywhere that this policy was made clear on their website etc? There are plenty of anecdotal stories on here and places like Flyer Talk saying the same but I just need a PDF from QR that explicitly says this was their policy.
