Is there an easier way to adjust speed/grade on indoor runs?
Title is self explanatory but on days I have to resort to the dreamill, I know how to set up the speed/grade prior to starting the run, but as far as I can tell, the only way to adjust them once the run is started is by pausing the activity and then adjusting each one separately, then resuming the activity.
Hopefully this makes sense but it would be nice to be able to adjust the speed and grade I set the treadmill to without having to literally stop the activity
This beautiful baby is banded, what does this mean?
Hi! Sorry I’m so new to the world of pigeons but this beaaaaautiful baby at my local park has a little band around their ankle, is this someone’s pet that was released? Or one that an organization may be tracking? This one was very cautious to approach me despite me having a lifetime supply of peanuts at hand, it was very skittish. I just want to reiterate how beautiful they are!!!
How to train during the summer?
Hi yall! I’m in the southwestern US and while we’re over a month away from it officially being summer, I’ve already experienced multiple 100°F (37.8° C) days.
I’ve been practicing adequately hydrating the night before a run, and I bright salt caps with me and gels with electrolytes, but I feel like I just get drained so much more easily. And being where I am in the US, these temperatures unfortunately will be lasting late into September 😣
I’m a female and I don’t have anyone to run with, so runs before 3am before the sun rises are out of the question. Even at 6am it gets into the 90s during the official summer months here.
I LOVE running and can’t fathom putting it away for 3-4 months, and the dreadmill doesn’t cut it. Give me all your tips and tricks!
Question about Strava x The Feed bottle
I recently got this bottle from a collaboration between The Feed and Strava and selected the watt monster because he’s cute. I know barely anything about biking and I think I only have one bike ride logged - that being said, is this wattage high? I cant find any wattage listed in my app, where was this statistic pulled from?
Saw a roadrunner fall today, so of course I made an edit of it 😂
Saucony Endorphin Pro 4
I found these shoes at REI for a killer deal, $140 off. The return reason was the shoes were “too light”.
I was fitted at a local running store for Saucony Triumphs and almost got them but went with Hoka Cliftons because of the price difference. I see these ones here and wonder if they’re worth trying for such a good price.
My weekly mileage is 25-30mpw, consisting mainly of long (10+ mile) tempo runs and a few occasional sprint workouts and easy runs.
My HM (only done one) time was like 1:58, 5k is 24:30, and 1m is 6:33. I’m wondering if these shoes may be a good option to try. The only thing holding me up is them being final sale. I’m sure I could probably resell them now, but I don’t want to buy them if they won’t be a good fit.
There feel incredibly lightweight and the mesh sock is very comfortable. My knowledge on the shoes is limited, but I see that they have a carbon plate in them? My understanding is that these aren’t really shoes for every day running, more race-day shoes that are meant to help propel you forward
How do you all wash and dry your water bladders?!
Hi! I just got an osprey dyna running vest with a 1.5L bladder and so far I’m super happy! I’m looking forward to getting to use it soon as the heatwave coming up in the southwestern US is brutal right now (106 expected high on monday 😭)
Anyway I have no idea how to properly care for this bladder, and I’ve seen some people online say they can grow mold quite easily.
The bladder I have does say “top rack safe” but I don’t quite understand how any water would get inside, yk? I’d prefer to hand wash it for my own peace of mind.
Some basic but silly questions - do you prefer to disconnect the hose from the bladder when washing it? Do you just use warm, soapy water and rinse it out well? How do you prefer to dry it? I have a drying rack that I could easily prop this open on, but I’m not sure about the straw

Title is pretty self explanatory but I’m curious for those who have both a pace 4 and the heart rate monitor, how close or how off is the watch when it comes to your heart rate?
So far my zone 2 runs put me around a 10ish minute mile with my heart rate on my watch averaging around 155-160. I’m not doubting that this is accurate but it would be nice to get slightly better metrics for training, especially as I’m new to longer distance runs and am looking to build up my aerobic endurance :)
I saw these at Trader Joe’s for $3.99… I can’t find much information on these online, does anyone know about these? I’m thinking of getting them just to try them
I did a 13.1 miler two weeks ago and it felt so sluggish and I finished at a 9:02/mi pace but today I was flyingggg. Also as much as I hate to admit it, balega socks are worth the money. This is the first long distance run where I didn’t end up with blisters.
