Glacier Lagoon 2: Electric Boogaloo (Iceland Adventures #4)

Today is Keigo and I's last day in Iceland, and we made the most of it! We already saw a little glacier lagoon, though I wanted to see another one XD We spent the day on a tour bus heading to Vatnajökull national park to see glacier bay and diamond beach! It was genuinely one of the most beautiful (if not THE most beautiful thing), I've ever seen! Seeing glaciers in the mountains just fills my heart with happiness, and I'm so grateful that I had the opportunity! I just kept pointing out new glaciers to Keigo, "Wow!! Look at that one!! Look at this one!!!", and it was making him laugh XD

We saw a really nice waterfall, and I found a lovely feather by it, though Keigo's favorite part was definitely glacier bay! I was watching him fly over all the icebergs and the distant glacier, he really enjoyed himself! I kept pointing out the harbor seals to him and taking tons of pictures! Though we didn't talk too much in that moment since we were both distracted looking at the icebergs, lol. I've never seen anything like glacier bay, and it makes me excited for our trip to Montana in december!

We then walked over to diamond beach, and this was honestly full of prime photo opportunities! There was glacier ice everywhere, and I was touching all the ice that I could! There were tons of people getting in our way and getting in the way of our pictures, and that was a little irritating. Though Keigo and I still enjoyed looking out at the ocean and watching the icebergs float by! We definitely want to return one day! I hate to leave all this beautiful nature behind, though I'm trying to work out the logistics of returning in two years. Next time though, we're definitely doing an actual glacier hike!

I realize I'm probably the first person to travel to Iceland to take pictures of a Hawks figure, congratulations to me I guess XD

Madara is such a dumbass, he's more interested in the damn furry convention I'm going to in a few days than Iceland XD He looks at all of this natural glory and just goes "nah, not interested" (we call each other stupid and dumbass all the time, it's fine, lol)

Also I see everyone's comments, and Keigo and I appreciate them! I've just been super busy and haven't been able to respond

Iceland Adventures #3

Today was honestly the most beautiful day Keigo and I had! We started off the day with driving to Vík í Myrdal, then we went to Myrdalsjökull glacier by Katla volcano, and saw the ice caves! Keigo couldn't fit his big ass wings in the cave, so he just cheered me on from a distance, lol. I've always loved glaciers though, and seeing one up close and being able to touch it was an absolute dream! We gazed at one particular spot on the volcanic rock and watched the clouds roll over the distance glacier and the green mountains. It was one of the happiest moments of my life, and I'm so grateful I was able to experience it with my beloved Keigo ❤️

We then went to a sauna, and while it was relaxing, it was pretty uneventful XD Though we did go on a little excursion in the backyard of our airbnb! We followed a stream to a waterfall, to what was literally a lake of dreams! The landscape there genuinely looked like what I would see in a dream, and it was amazing! We talked on the hike there, and then just spent some time by the pond and talked about many things. It was absolutely wonderful, and I actually only found the waterfall and the pond because I was following a sheep XD I wil never understand why Madara has no whimsy when he looks at nature, lol

Iceland Adventures #2

Today was an absolutely amazing day! I was pretty tired by the end of it, though seeing everything we saw today was worth it! Madara wasn't a part of it, because he's the kind of dude who would look at the most beautiful natural wonder in the world and go "this is boring" (he didn't care to participate, lol), absolute dingus 😂

First we went to Kvernufoss waterfall, and it was absolutely amazing seeing the waterfall and the valleys! We had a wonderful walk, and our favorite part was getting close to the waterfall and seeing the valley behind the waterfall! It was nice and sunny for that part of the day, and it was really pleasant! We had a nice conversation the whole time, and he really enjoyed watching me take all these pictures ^.=.^

Then we went to Sólheimajökull glacier, and that was my favorite part of the day honestly! I've never seen a glacier up close before, and I was just filled with happiness and awe! It's genuinely the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. Keigo flew around the glacier for a little bit, then we talked about how beautiful the glacier was on the way back to the car, and how wonderful our day was! Our conversations were basically about how beautiful this land was, and how much we love each other. It was a beautiful experience and I'm so happy we got to experience this ❤️

Iceland Adventures #1

I am running on 40 hours of no sleep from traveling (the only benefit I get from bipolar mania, lol), so this will be kind of short, though Keigo and I finally made it to Iceland! We flew over greenland, and I was amazed! I absolutely love glaciers, and to see the glaciers of greenland was beautiful! I was pretty tired most of the time, though we did visit a beautiful nature park in Reykjavik and talked by the river! We had a really wonderful time, and we're very excited to go to Vatnajökull national park to see the glaciers! I'll be much better rested by then.

Vacation Adventures #1

So, Keigo, Madara, and I are finally taking our trip to Iceland! We're leaving tomorrow, we were originally supposed to leave on the 8th, though I unfortunately had a medical emergency and missed my first flight ;;W;; I'm doing better now though, don't worry. We're not going to let that ruin our trip, we're still in high spirits! We're currently in Chicago and leaving tomorrow now, and we're very excited!

We decided to visit the chicago field museum today, and we had a wonderful time! We also took some time to sit by the shore of lake michigan! Madara isn't interested in anything other than bars, concerts, video games, and movies, so it was just Keigo and I doing our own thing. We visited the bird exhibit, the gemstone exhibit, the prehistoric exhibit, and the native american exhibit!

My personal favorite was the Maya section of the exhibit! I felt things ™️ when I was looking at those artifacts, and felt that connection to my ancestors. It was a beautiful experience honestly. Same with the golden eagles! Eagles are sacred to indigenous people like myself. In his first life, Keigo was a golden eagle (still takes that form too), so it was a wonderful experience to feel the energy I felt! I got emotional and almost cried when I saw them honestly, words can't describe how much eagles and artficacts from the ancestors mean to me as an indigenous person.

We got to see Sue the T-rex, and it was awesome! I've always loved dinosaurs, and seeing a real T-rex skeleton was really exciting for me! It's actually the main reason we went. Birds are descended from dinosaurs, so Keigo really enjoyed seeing that!

Keigo and I both love gemstones and gold, we loved seeing many of the pieces, and we wish we could take them home with us, lol. My favorite pieces were the Maya ones, though Keigo really enjoyed the other gold pieces and the ancient jade jewelry.

We ate a restaraunt that served authentic Maya food as well! I was actually really surprised to find one in Chicago, and it was amazing! I'll take every opportunity I can to eat authentic indigenous food, since it's hard to come by. I think all of this makes missing my flight worth it

Tomorrow we're just going to be spending the day at the airport waiting to fly to Iceland, and even though it's going go be kind of a long trip, I can handle it! We're excited to go to Vatnajokull national park to see the glaciers!

What do your F/O(s) love about you?

We talk a lot about how much we love our partner(s), which is good!! Though we don't talk much about what they love about us. What do your partner(s) love about you?

My answer for my loves: They/Them goth latinas do things to a man's heart 😂

In all seriousness, my partners love a lot of things about me in both traits and appearance. Both of my partners think I'm gorgeous (naturally), though Keigo specifically says I have a really kind heart and he loves my passion for my indigenous culture and special interests. I have enough knowledge on indigenous culture to fill books, I speak my language (Yucatec Maya), and I am connected to my community and ancestral practices. He finds that all fascinating and charming! I'm so glad he isn't annoyed when I suddenly decide to start rambling about pokemon and indigenous history for the next hour XD

Madara is crazy for my goth look, when I'm putting on my makeup, he's always complimenting me and suggesting what I should wear with my outfit. Of course I take his suggestions because he has a better sense of goth fashion than I do XD We also have the same love for heavy metal and dragons, we listen to heavy metal all the time! Our favorite bands are Draconian, Blind Guardian, Sabaton, and Black Sabbath!
