Where is the best place to find a part-time "mother’s helper" or daycare-pickup sitter?

Looking to hire a part-time helper to bridge the gap between daycare ending and us getting home from work. Where are the best places to look?

Context: Ideally the role would cover weekday evenings (roughly 6 PM to 9 PM) and includes
- Picking our toddler up from daycare and bringing them home.
- Feeding them dinner (we've already made the dinner) and playing until a parent is home.
- Light household help afterward (folding laundry, tidying up toys—no deep cleaning).
- location: San Jose, CA

Is it realistic to find someone for a short, part-time schedule like this? If you’ve hired for a similar role, did you have better luck on Facebook groups, Nextdoor, Care.com, or somewhere else?

Update: Added location

How do I manually (or automatically?) Tax Loss Harvest VOO and VTI on Fidelity ?

I’m looking to do some beginner tax loss harvesting in my taxable brokerage account. My plan is to buy VOO, hold for at least a month, and if there's a drop, sell it at a loss and immediately switch the funds into VTI. Several questions (sorry I'm not an expert at this):

1/ Can anyone explain the basics of how to do on Fidelity? Sorry I'm not the most financially savvy person.

2/ Can I set up automatic rules or alerts on Fidelity to handle this if a drop occurs, or must it be done manually?

3/ Do I need to completely turn off automatic dividend reinvesting on both funds to avoid an accidental wash sale? I think this is the case but just wanted to confirm

If anyone has a step-by-step walkthrough or a video recommendation for the Fidelity UI, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

2026 Sienna XLE: Are Toyota all-weather floor liners worth it, or should I skip them and buy aftermarket?

I’m buying a 2026 Toyota Sienna XLE and debating whether to keep the OEM all-weather floor liners ($270) or buy aftermarket instead.

For those who’ve owned a 4th gen Sienna, are the Toyota liners worth it?

Or is there a better value from brands like WeatherTech, Husky, etc.?

Looking for the best fit, coverage, and durability without overpaying. What would you recommend?

4th gen 8-Passenger Sienna: Can you do 2 car seats side-by-side (Middle + Outboard) and keep 3rd-row access?

Hey everyone,
I’m looking to see if this exact 2nd-row setup works in the 8-passenger Sienna (2021 and later) for Rear-Facing car seats :

Seat 1 (Outboard): rear facing Car seat
Seat 2 (Middle Jump Seat): rear facing Car seat facing
Seat 3 (Outboard): Adult passenger

If you’ve successfully done this:

Thanks so much

Was anyone else very tempted by the Kia Carnival Hybrid before buying your Sienna?

I’m shopping for a minivan. I’ve always been a Toyota guy, but the Sienna has a few major annoyances for us: the second-row seats aren't easily removable (we want to pull one outboard seat to leave a middle+side bench), the tech feels dated, the third-row windows feel tiny etc

The Kia Carnival fixes all of this on paper.
For those who evaluated both: Did these Sienna flaws (or others) tempt you to jump ship? What ultimately made you stick with Toyota and what trim did you go with?

I know that the carnival hybrid is too new to evaluate in terms of reliability but if anyone has horror stories of the carnival hybrid's reliability, that'll make me feel better about sticking with a Sienna

Toyota guy considering a Kia Carnival. what reliability issues am I signing up for?

Hi Carnival owners (particularly hybrid owners),
I’m shopping for a minivan. I’ve always been a strict Toyota guy, but the Toyota Sienna has a few dealbreakers for us.

What real-world reliability issues or maintenance headaches should I expect? I've heard some things about battery drain and transmission issues but is it widespread? Please give me all the bad and don't sugarcoat things. I know the hybrid model hasn't been around for too long but any insights are appreciated.

Context for why I'm not going with Sienna: second-row seats can't be easily removed (we want to pull one outboard seat to leave a middle and side bench), the tech feels dated, and the third-row windows feel tiny

When does long-term real estate investing make sense for HENRYs who don't qualify for tax benefits?

I’ve been binging real estate content, but the math for a HE W2 professional feels tough to justify compared to just buying equities.

If you make a solid income, you don't qualify for REPS (real estate professional status). If you have a demanding career, executing the STR (short term rental) loophole seems incredibly difficult. Without those two tax benefits, your losses can't offset your income.

ETFs require zero labor, carry no tenant liability, and historically return ~10%. On the other hand, real estate ties up cash, requires significant effort even with a property manager, and usually faces thin cash flow due to maintenance and insurance (unless you're willing to buy in some rough neighborhoods).

Am I missing a blind spot? For those without REPS or STR status who still choose real estate over ETFs, what is your core investment thesis? Is it banking on 4x-5x leverage on appreciation over 20 years, or is there something else?
Thanks for any insights

AWD vs FWD Toyota Sienna in NorCal

Asking Sienna owners or drivers who have spent some time in the Bay Area (eg, SF, San Jose etc.). Would you recommend getting AWD or FWD?

Driving context:
- Most days: very highway and suburban driving. Not many hills on daily commute. May go to San Francisco once a month.
- rare occasion: a trip to Tahoe for skiing at most once or twice a year
- rare occasion: go camping at national parks - sometimes there are hills
