I don't think most people these days realize the sheer scope of Rosie O'Donnell's career.

I was pretty surprised to see her pop up as Kimmel's latest guest host. I thought she was basically cancelled for good. But as I heard her talk, I started to think about her long showbiz career, and all she's done in so many different genres.

We first knew her as a sort of "shock jock" style comedian who was known for mocking pretty much everything, and she was brilliant at that.

But then she completely threw everyone off by pivoting across every genre imaginable:

  • Making kids' content like the animated Tarzan movie from Disney.
  • Singing on Broadway as Rizzo in Grease.
  • Becoming know as the "Queen of Nice" on her own talk show.
  • Coming out to the world and letting it all hang out as a proud, butch lesbian.
  • Then completely throwing everyone for a loop again in a sexy role as a cop going undercover as a dominatrix in Exit To Eden
  • Then right back to kid-friendly as Betty Rubble in The live action Flintstones movie.

Not too many performers have been able to do literally everything at a top level and still be consistently good.

Now, she's mainly known as the comedian who went toe-to-toe with Trump and wouldn't back down, no matter how much it hurt her career or threatened her life.

I won't claim to love every single bit she's ever done. Some of it rubbed me the wrong way too if I'm honest. But that's the mark of basically all the truly great comedians. Richard Pryor, Bill Marr, etc…

It’s pretty damn cool to see her back, still not holding her tongue or backing down... even after everything its cost her.

My sincere, informed advice for new comers to this sub. Based on decades of experience as a working photographer. Photo Lab professional from the film days. And experienced visual artist, period.

When it comes to responses to your posts in this sub:

  • Unconditional praise: accept it with a smile, and take it as a sign that you should keep going.
  • Generic insults: if negative feedback doesn't come with any useful advice? Ignore it completely. Don't feel bad, or even defiant. It's useless noise, and treat it as such.
  • Actual informed opinions, that come with specific advice, and recommendations for improvement. THIS! This is the reason to post here. As long as you continue practicing, you will continue to get better. If you have a creative soul, and a good eye, you will produce images that people like, and praise. That's all fine. But in your lifetime goal of being an artist, and mastering this specific art form... NEVER take the praise too seriously. You never want to just relax in the feeling that you've "arrived". Because now you are "good", and can just sit back and enjoy the praise, right? No.
  • There is always a new level to reach. There is always a breakthrough in knowledge and skill that will open up new perspective.
  • Your next great masterpiece will always be out there, waiting to be uncovered and birthed into this world. But you have to constantly be willing to learn a new technique, to shoot the same subject again and again until you've captured it perfectly. And again, and again as long as you have life.
  • And if this is too long to read... or sounds too pretentious... then these words are not for you. Laugh at them, downvote, or whatever. Fine.
  • But for the true artists whose souls are yearning to find that that next plateau... keep going. Never be satisfied.

What's your best build/armor setup for the mutagenic poison on stage 4?

I'm an experienced raid runner, and don't have any issues in any stage, but recently I've been trying to find a way to tank the poison clouds in stage 4... other than spamming stimpacks. Even with medic pump, I still have to quick spam to stay alive.

I just usually wear the same lucid Union PA, and same build as the snake, and it's fine as long as I spam stims.

But I see plenty of players just chill in that stage. Got any good advice?

Looking to do some full raids. Back to back.

I can solo every stage, although it's not all that fun. Even did stage two using the method that was floating around. Again... not fun.

Willing to stop and go do infestations when they pop up if the group wants.

Sorry for the typo I'm Lyonardo in game. Send friend request, then join up in private if your'e down for it.

Thanks

I'm just not getting super stimpacks anymore. Is it just me?

I just did about 5 Raids back to back. I ended up with 8 instead of 100+ like it is to be.

I did three Atlantic City expeditions and got none.

I haven't seen the corpse flower event even pop up for ages.

So are supers just going from the game now?

UPDATE: I just did a Daily Ops and got zero there. It looks like the handful from the Raid is basically it now.

I can't upgrade to the Summer Sale deal. It just doesn't process the payment.

It won't let me add a new card. It didn't charge the same card I've been using for monthly. And it won't let me remove that payment method either.

My bank confirms there's no issue with my account, they just didn't receive a debit from Nvidia since my last monthly payment

The only support option I see is the chat. The bot can't even see that this sale exists. And the human agent literally says nothing, unless I ask if they're still there.

Has anyone else seen this? And is there another way to contact support other than chat?

I assume that I'm not the only one.

How come no one will work together on infestations or head hunts?

Today I had a few hours to play, so I started a team, and started popping my stash of wanted posters back to back, while also doing the dailies.

If I noticed an infestation I'd jump to do that. All while also doing the Meat Week stuff. Pretty hectic and fun.

Literally everything I started I would rush to find the boss, get a few shots in to tag them. Then call my teammates in with the "come on" emote.

When they arrived, I made sure to ping the boss to make sure everyone could tag them before finishing them off. And even pinged the body in case someone didn't know where.

People were super excited and spammed the heart emote to say thanks.

But the whole time, as different people joined and left, I was literally the only one doing any of that.

Whenever anyone else found the boss first, they would do everything to finish them off before someone could get a shot in.

And if I used the question emote, only one person all day pinged the body to help my find it too.

What's wrong with helping out your team, to make sure we all get the rewards?

I've never bothered with Beats because most reviews say that artificially heavy bass is all they have. But I just got a pair of Fit Pros... wow.

The noise cancelling is amazing. Better than anything I've ever used by a mile. Even buds and cans that cost twice as much, like my Seinheiser Momentums. The build quality is also top notch.

I can't figure out why everyone only discusses the weaknesses without ever bringing up the positives. They're definitely going to be my daily drivers from now on.

Some events have so many misdirects that it's hard to see the truth when it's revealed

A perfect example is the shadowspawn attack on the Stone of Tear.

While Rand was talking with Lanfear in The Stone they're interrupted by the beginning of the attack sent by Sammael.

During the fight, Rand gets separated and is caught off guard by a Trollock. Then saved by a another Trollock. The first sign that there are two Shadowspawn armies, who are fighting against each other. One trying to kill Rand, the other to protect him.

Lanfear shows up again, berating him for forgetting about Callendor. Rand asks if she sent the Trollocks who are protecting him, which she basically confirms by saying she can't confirm because she doesn't want him getting dependant on her. And that she can't ever be seen openly helping him.

It's reinforced when Sammael and Greandal meet to discuss the other Foresaken, how it was obviously Lanfear protecting him.

[Lord Of Chaos Events] >!It's not until later in book 6 that we get the real story. It was Semirhage who sent the 2nd Trollock army. But, here's the real kicker... Not due to her own scheming. She was commanded by The Dark Lord himself! Shaitan protected Rand from Sammael. And other than Semirhage, none of the Foresaken ever knew!<

What other reveals exist like this? Where basically all the characters and we the audience "know" what happened. But the truth is revealed later. And so subtly that basically everyone misses it on the first read-through?
