Whats the deal with ebay sellers selling a bunch of les pauls with this description:

"Mint, new conditions, tunned once and then put back in temperature controlled room, no hard case or gigbag included, fully working"

Didn't these all come with cases? This seller has 2 dozen les paul standards from $1.5-3k with this description and there are other sellers just like them.
