Just started learning basics an hour ago! Took me a while to figure out how to place my hands, but I’m pretty proud of whatever the heck this will be

I figure I just going to keep going until the motions become easier and then actually learn how to make something!

Looking for help with some supplemental food

Hey. I’ve recently moved into a sober house (121 days sober for the first time in 10 years!) and I’m waiting on housing support/assistance that was supposed to be coming in on the 1st, but there was an error in the application that I just got fixed today so it’ll be an extra week until I get it. $25 on DoorDash credits would be insanely helpful. This is my grocery list.

In full transparency, I did just recently have someone help me on r/assistance, and I was able to get some big ticket items like a big pack of chicken thighs, squash, potatoes and rice. If I could get these few extra items I can definitely stretch it the full two weeks.

Thank you so much if you’re able or willing to help

Time for a rewatch!

I’ve been a hardcore fan since 2008. I can’t tell you the amount of times I’ve rewatched the show over the years. I got until about season 11/12 and I stopped for good. It’s been many years now but I think it’s time to delve back in. I was going to start around the Lilith era, but I decided a full run from the beginning would be fun.

Dad’s on a hunting trip and he hasn’t been home for a few days….

Asking for a little bit to get some groceries while I wait for my housing support to kick in on the 1st

Hey there

I’m asking for $40 or more to get me groceries to supplement me until my support kicks in the first of the month.

Lil backstory: I’m an alcoholic and 117 days sober for the first time in 10+ years. In February I checked myself in yet again to the mental health ward at the hospital. I’ve been there a few times but never took the steps after to maintain my mental health and sobriety. This time I did. Spent 15 days in the ward, moved into a IRTS facility for 95 days there immersed in therapy and treatment.

I’m now living in a sober house that doesn’t have classes or meetings, so I set myself up for a day treatment program. 6 hours of therapy 5 days a week. Sobriety and good mental health is my full time job right now.

I’m waiting for housing support to kick in and I’ll have SNAP to take care of my food, but right now I’m living on the few pantry items they provide. I know how to make the most out of ingredients and make the dollar stretch far. I’ll comment with the list of what I would get. The store is about 3/4 a mile away, so take away the delivery fee because I’ll walk and that’s my total.

Edit: I forgot to put how to receive. Either Venmo or DoorDash credits would be ideal

Little Vase

If I had some glue, I’d do the sides and coverup the wood and plastic edges, but cute nonetheless for like $3 on Temu

From Make Market at Michael’s. The boards are really sturdy and even, adhesive is strong, and edges line up really nicely. If anything, I’ll probably glue the canvas down a little more on the back when I’m completed.

I know it sounds excessive, but I currently live at a facility that limits where/when I can go out. I have to attend groups for 5 hours a day so I’ve been bringing them with me to keep my hands busy and my brain focused on conversation.

I started my first square drill piece and it looks incredible. Also it’s the biggest one I’ve done. Upgraded from my usual 30x40 to a 40x50. I had maybe 4 inches left to finish and I’m finally bored of it.

I’m going to finish it eventually, but turns out I found my wall. Didn’t think it was possible 😦

Time to give my hands a break and read some books, I guess.
