Suggestions on how to remove this nest?

This nest seems to have detached and fallen from the top of the inside of a metal container outside my job. I’m hoping to avoid my job trying to kill them and want to try to relocate or deter them if possible. Suggestions?

Can someone please ID for me?

Edit: have confirmed it is a paper wasp. Now, any suggestions for relocating or deterring them? I foresee my job just spraying wasp spray to deal with it but if I can find a way to avoid that and deal with it humanely, I would prefer that.

Located in VA. This nest seems to have detached and fallen from the top of the inside of a metal container outside my job. I want to try to relocate if possible. I’m hoping this might be a paper wasp and hopefully hanging a piece of paper/cardboard will make them leave but just wanna get confirmation before doing anything to make sure no one gets hurt. I really don’t want my job to just spray wasp spray if possible. About to post a video as well

Someone at my job stepped on this poor guy. I assume not, but anything I can do to help it?

More than one break and shake?

So I inoculated some bags recently. Once they were getting relatively colonized, I did a break and shake. They’ve recolonized again quite well but I’m still feeling some loose grains at the top. Should I do another break and shake or should I just give it more time for the myc to reach the top?

Who is this lil guy hanging out in my greenhouse?

Flew out at me and startled the crap out of me initially. The colors made me assume a bee or wasp but then it landed and the body shape wasn’t one I’ve normally seen on either. Is this a friend? Located in VA

Someone talk to me about carpenter bees

So, a bit back there was a cute little carpenter bee drilling her nest in the wooden post for my awning. I really enjoyed watching her doing her thing and seeing her progress each day. Haven’t seen her in a while though and this is what the nest looks like. I assumed maybe she finished but nests from other bees I’ve seen get sealed up (I’ve particularly had a lot of leaf cutter bees). This one isn’t sealed, from what I can see at least, just a perfect little drill hole. Did something happen to her or is this normal?

Requested video of Georgie screams

These are on the same tame side of the scream spectrum since he’s chillin right now. It gets worse.

As you may notice, he’s simultaneously purring during this. What a weirdo

This is Georgie. His favorite activity: screaming

Georgie Orangeson came to me as a foster a few years ago. They thought his screaming was just from the stress. Turns out he just has a severe case of Orange Cat Syndrome and all his one brain cell knows is: screm

He screams for food. He screams for pets. He screams because he’s being pet. He screams into the void. My particular favorite: when I tell him to stop doing something he knows he’s not supposed to be doing and then screams at me as if I’M the one who did something wrong. Such as using my plant as a bed, as you can see in that last pic

He is an old grumpasaurus indeed. I love him so much

Edit: for those of you looking to hear said screams: here is a tame version

Update on Mama Wolfie

Well, I’m officially a spider mom… and grandma lol

I went all in and made a little enclosure for her. Stopped by the pet store first and got a roly-poly kit, as it seemed a good size and came with some substrate and other things, along with some mealworms and the cashier looked at me like I was crazy and was contemplating telling me that roly-polys don’t need mealworms until I told her I made the unfortunate decision to get emotionally invested in a mama spider and then she seemed relieved and rang me up lol.

Then I stopped by the tarantula shop near me to ask for any extra pointers they could give on what she might need, they were great and gave me some crickets for free which was lovely of them.

Mama almost immediately caught a cricket and is very happy monching away right now. I think she seems happy with her enclosure. Still open to any other tips or recommendations anyone has but so far so good!

This is possibly the most exciting thing that’s ever happened but also HELP

Update: mama is gonna hang around for a bit, you can see my post about it here if you’re interested!

So, I found a mama wolf spider (AHHHH!!! I am thrilled) however, I want to make sure I’m doing right by her before letting her out in my house so I’m looking for advice.

First, when I scooped her up in the lobby of my job, two babies separated from her. They never seemed to hop back on. Not sure if that’s a concern or not.

Since then, I’ve had her in a cup until I could bring her home, and many others have separated (last photo) but also there’s a yellowish liquid at the bottom of the cup, what is this? I did put a few drops of water in there because most spiders I find are thirsty, she was no exception. But by the time I got home, it’s gotten thin and yellow. I did also find a mosquito in the lobby that was killed and put in there with her for a snack but she didn’t eat it and I threw it out now in case that’s related. I’ve successfully moved her and all the babies into a clean jar for the time being and got up most of that liquid.

My question is, is it concerning that so many are separated? Should I keep her and her babies until they’re a bit older before letting them out? Anything I can be doing to be helping her? Just wanna do right by her and her babies.

OH!!! Also after I scooped her, I found another little baby near where I found her a few minutes later, however it’s a bit bigger than her other babies so I assumed it wasn’t hers and kept it separate. I also put pictures of them in the separate cups for size comparison and phots of it with a can tab for size to confirm if it’s another baby wolfie and what I should do with it? Can it hang out with her?

Anywho, thanks in advance for any help and advice. I’m gonna be doing some research on my own as well but I’m very new to anything spider related and I just wanna give her and her babies the best chance and let them become part of my army of spider roommates fighting the battle against any other crawlies that don’t belong in my house lol.

Edit: made a separate post for the straggler I found near mama and added some more pics. So mainly just advice and tips for mama and babies can be posted here now and thanks to everyone for your insight, it’s very helpful!

Someone talk to me about these guys with their yellow spots

I’ve found them throughout my garden. I usually have just seen black/grey ones but I’d love to learn about these

Had some syringes sitting in my fridge for like a year and finally got around to inoculating some bags. Wish me luck
