Hibiscus love
I know it’s common, but I love my yellow hibiscus! I remember the first time I went to Maui and saw these yellow hibiscus everywhere..

Last week I posted about a customer that never tipped in the past but I did her order now since it showed est tip$35. Now..
Last week when I did her order she sent a preferred shopper request then $100 tip came in.
This morning I received another order from her for this morning. 14 items $101. Total value. I get to her home after getting everything and as I’m dropping off she asked if I was the one who did her last week order said yes she asked if I got her tip? Said yes and thanked her very much for the tip. So I’m thinking she is probably going to not tip since she tipped so much last time.
About 20 minutes later she tips $80
The heat here inland Southern California is really bringing out the color on my Kaneohe sunburst..
so these just started showing up in my pay history yesterday and I have not canceled any orders. I started looking at the order numbers and these are orders that I dropped long before the penalty period what is the purpose of showing these? why does it say it was canceled by me when I dropped it?
These orders were for the 9-10am time frame and I dropped them at 6:59am
What is the purpose of this?
after 15 years of being in the ground, my triple planted Ravenea glauca finally flowered. The male flower opened first so I was able to save some of the pollen so when the female finally flowered, I was able to pollinate it. Only set 4 seeds but hopefully next year it’ll set
I did orders for this customer a couple years ago and after two orders with no tip I marked it as DND. this morning her order showed up with est tip of $35.00 so I grabbed the order thinking she must have learned if you want good service you need to tip!
no response to any messages and that’s fine I found everything on her order. she had a note to not ring bell so when I sent my on the way txt I let her know I won’t ring the bell I’ll just txt when everything is at the door.
couple minutes after delivery I received a preferred shopper request from her and about 10 minutes after that her $100.00 tip came in.
Brahea decumbens, also known as the Mexican Dwarf Blue Palm or Sierra Madre Palm, is a rare, slow-growing evergreen palm famous for its striking steel-blue fan leaves and unique crawling trunk habit. It is native to the rocky limestone hills of northeastern Mexico.
This one is growing at Huntington library and botanical gardens San Marino, California
.
Normally my plumeria form flower buds in Spring with they leaf out. This one is just now starting to produce flower buds in August. Pretty sure it’s my Key West red, time will tell.
Red Latan palm (Latania lontaroides)
Took the picture in 1998 based on grass and identification sign I want to say it was at Huntington Library and botanical garden ? in Southern California..
Just saw this on local ABC channel occupational hazard documentary about Jimmy Buffett Sept 4 at more city theaters..
Been listening to fruitcakes and when Love in the library plays I can totally see the song in my head as it plays out.
Mac McAnally, Jimmy Buffett wrote some amazing songs together
Love in the library.
On the corner of Government and Bay Avenue
The old doomsday fanatic wore a crown of kudzu
Sirens were wailing in the gulf coastal heat
And it seemed like the whole world was in forced retreat
I paid no attention, revolved through the door
Passed the newspaper rack on the worn marble floor
Near Civil War history, my heart skipped a beat
She was standing on fiction, stretched high on bare feet
Love in the library, quiet and cool
Love in the library, there are no rules
Surrounded by stories surreal and sublime
I fell in love in the library once upon a time
I was the pirate, she was the queen
Sir Francis and Elizabeth, the best there's ever been
Then she strolled past my table and stopped at the stairs
Then sent me a smile as she reached for Flaubert
Love in the library, quiet and cool
Love in the library, there are no rules
Surrounded by stories surreal and sublime
I fell in love in the library once upon a time
She gathered her books, walked while she read
Words never spoken but so much was said
You can read all you want into this rendezvous
But it's safer than most things that lovers can do
Well, stories have endings and fantasies fade
The guard by the door starts drawing the shade
So write your own ending and hope it comes true
For the lovers and strangers on Bay Avenue
Love in the library, quiet and cool
Love in the library, there are no rules
Surrounded by stories surreal and sublime
I fell in love in the library once upon a time
Dog days of summer inland Southern California and the peach is loving it..
July 2002 took the seaplane over from Miami to Bimini. We rented a golf cart and drove all the way to the north end of the island. This was long before resorts world.
We never saw another person on the beach the entire day. One of the things that drew me to Bimini was that it wasn’t over commercialized with huge resorts.
I have no idea the name cutting was given to me by a friend. It has an amazing lemon smell…
Was gifted this cutting a few years back. From a friend. 2nd picture is the tree the cutting came from. It has a lemon scent 🍋
My Kaneohe Sunburst in full bloom.
Just love this one.
Years ago I went to Puerto Peñasco and took a picture of this three headed palm tree, I know this is a long shot but does anyone know the location of it ?
Thank you for any help.
Years ago I went to Puerto Penasco Mexico with a friend and saw this three headed washingtonia robusta. Not sure if it’s still there but I thought it just looks so cool..
Went for potting soil and this thing followed me home..
