Vinted just turned back on SpeedX when I had it off (and now it's back off again). I'm not dealing with it and hate that they turned on a setting I purposefully turned off. No thank you.
Was very surprised to learn Vinted, unlike Depop or Poshmark, has the buyer pay for shipping a return, even when its seller error (in my case, item arrive damaged). I'm a newer user and have luckily had no issues and great deals so far, but latest item arrived heavily stained. Luckily it's only 0.99 to return it (same as what I paid to buy), but as shipping increases I'm assuming the return fee will increase too (which say, on a $5 item won't be worth it).
I'd assume the buyer protection fee would've covered the return service or the seller would pay for their error, so it's really interesting how different Vinted is from other platforms who cover the buyer. This definitely will make me a more cautious buyer and will probably return to Depop (esp with their .99 shipping for items under $10). Pros and cons to them all, but was def a surprise based on previous experience.
As fellow US people, I'm also surprised Vinted can have that policy based on FTC consumer protections, but I guess they're getting around it claiming they are not a commercial merchant just a facilitating platform. Bit shady
I'm not sure the origin of the marks (some countries add marks but these don't match any I've found) and I'm wondering if the piece is authentic since I've never seen them on other post card charms, if anyone has thoughts.
What is with this update that I click on a sold item and I can't see the actual listing, it just brings you to this page with similar listings (which used to be at the bottom of the sold listing). Let me just see the listing in its entirety!

Sold a 30 yo 100% silk piece that I photographed in natural lighting against a white carpet. The color was described as simply "red" but could see in photos (including last up close with flash) that there were pink undertones.
Buyer wants partial refund bc it's not "vibrant" red and needs money to get dye to "restore" the "color discoloration" and "faded" color. It's absolutely meant to be that color, which is gorgeous with unique depth that the silk shows as it catches the light.
She also threw in that there were loose threads, which I could've missed but see in no photos.
Disregarding my thoughts she's gonna ruin it trying to dye it, I'm just annoyed I, of course, accepted her lower offer and will lose more $ bc the color wasn't what she wanted even thought it matched the photos. Can't have a bad review tho 🫠
I'm pretty new to Vinted (in the US) and am not sure what just happened. Last notification I got was the email saying the buyer needed to pick up the item. Now it's saying not delivered, sale was canceled and buyer was refunded so what happened to my item and my money? Is it getting shipped back to me? Idk how this works but I haven't gotten any emails since the one pictured so don't know what the claim is? This is my first cancellation and refund so I'm just trying to figure it out.
Last days of the $1.99 shipping for ny/nj/ct and I'll def be ending strong, but I'll miss it so much. I've bought more this past month than the years before. And yes, our psychology has been screwed by sites with free shipping, but idc I hate paying for shipping but $2 is practically free. May this eBay deal bring shipping deals plzzzzzz. I'm hoping their reduced/free shipping test some accounts got is signs this will continue and expand for more than the tristate area 🙏🙏🙏
