Mayor gave my kid a flag!

We showed up to the parade late. Got to the park just as her car was stopping and she waved to my kid and asked if he wanted a flag.

He said “yes!” And jumped out of the wagon to go to her.

Very nice of her to offer, thank you!

Happy 4th everyone!

Time difference?

Before placing order, and after, the time jumped an hour. Why even have an estimate in the beginning, if the margin of error is 45 min?

Fleet Farm ammo sale!

Fleet Farm is doing their 15% off anything that fits in their bucket sale. This includes ammo. Confirmed it with their customer service and I just bought a bunch.

Firearms do not count. :(

Just wanted to share my first Father’s Day gift.

I don’t have many friends, so I figured I’d show off my Father’s Day gift here.

This is the first one that my kid has ever made me. He’ll be five later this year.

I’m not 58 btw… When he gave it to me, he told me that he couldn’t remember if I was 58 or 85. I’m 38. lol he was close.

Petrified Wood?

Found this chunk, nearly 20 years ago. Picked it up in Yuma Proving Grounds, AZ, USA.

It was in the sand with a ton of other smaller pieces, I thought this was the coolest piece. I’ve had it with a pile of other crazy rocks I’ve collected in my travels that I can’t identify. I’ll likely make some posts of those later. Unless I’m able to make one post for all of them?

Thanks!

Quote template reformatted by potential client

Sent a client a quote, as a pdf. They responded a couple days later asking for a word version. I hesitantly sent a "locked" version.

Their corporate sent it back reformatted, completely butchered, logos removed, and added payment term verbiage (net 60). It looks far worse than the original and no longer matches any of our company's standard formatting.

This is the first time I've had someone do this. I'm not even sure how to respond.

Thoughts?

Updates to the Clubman.

Tint, driving lights, wind deflectors, and wheels/tires.

Next on the list: lower, intake, exhaust.

That’s pretty much it. It’s a solid car as-is, and I love driving it!

Give it to me straight…

How much time to I have left?

This is my second year with this AC. Ran flawlessly last year. No clue how old it is. The house was inherited to the previous owner, so we didn’t get much history.

I know “they don’t make them like they used to,” but I feel like I’m at the point where repair would likely cost half of a new one.

When this does take a dump, what’s a reputable replacement? House is 1100 square feet.

Ignore the water on the ground, I was cleaning off the fins that were caked in tree semen.

Appreciate it!

CAA vs SAA question

Scenario time!

Client was previously inspected by a third party, regarding their environmental and hazmat programs. During a walkthrough, they showed me two 55-gal drum lockers. One is for corrosives, one is for flammables. Neither are locked/controlled. Flam is grounded.

Both are next to each other in a passageway, without signage indicating that it's a CAA or SAA. About 20-30 feet away is a closed door to a lab. In that lab, they generate the waste that goes into the two drums.

Client has been utilizing it as an SAA and explained that to the third party, who said it was fine as-is. This is my first time visiting this facility, so I am unaware of their history.

My immediate thoughts:

  1. I would not define this: "at or near the point of generation."

  2. Unless there is something that states that each locker can be its own SAA, this should be treated as a CAA, due to it being over 55-gal almost constantly.

  3. How did another inspector see this and not question, at least the point of generation?

Looking for some other ideas. Help me see something I may be missing.

Košice, Slovakia to Roissy-en-France, France is approximately the same distance as Saint Paul, Minnesota to Salt Lake City, Utah.

I ordered a car part from Europe and was following its tracking until it was flown out to the US. I was curious about the driving distance between destinations and was pretty surprised about the distance comparisons.

I've driven from Saint Paul through SLC to California, and back, multiple times. I guess I never compared it to how small Europe really is.
