OG Harvest Moon & Rune Factory: Opinions?

What do you think is the best and most enjoyable Harvest Moon and/or Rune Factory game for consoles up to the DS? I'm talking N64, Gameboy, Gameboy Advance, DS, etc.

I have a retro handheld and am trying to decide which game I should give a go as I've only played Story of Seasons games on the 3DS or newer.

She Hath Arrived

Starting my day right with my new fave, the RG CubeXX running MuOS. The ergonomics... the crisp screen... the really solid price point. I love her.

Any tips, tricks, or suggested games for the 1:1 aspect ratio??

CubeXX OS?

Hello all!

My RG CubeXX arrives tomorrow, and I was wondering what the best OS to use on it is? I've seen MuOS and Knulli recommended - what are the pros and cons of these? Any other options that work better?

I am specifically looking to play GBA, NDS and Portmaster. Thank you so much in advance! :)

Help! Flip v2 or Mini Flip?

Hello!

I have had a Miyoo Mini + and it was my gateway drug into the handheld scene. I ended up giving it to a friend after I got a couple of Anbernic devices. I miss my Miyoo, though, and am contemplating getting a Flip v2 or a Mini Flip.

My biggest question is... can either one run Portmaster ports? I'm leaning towards the Flip v2 for the bigger screen size but the Mini Flip is so cute and charming, too.

I'd appreciate any feedback or thoughts/opinions!

(I currently have an Anbernic RG 477M and an RG Rotate)

Obsessed & So Happy

Finally got my 477M and Rotate setup juuuuust right. So happy that I gave RetroHrai a shot as it's my new fave launcher, sorry ES-DE...

Why is the tinkering and setup as much or more fun than the games?

Console Suggestion Help

Hello!

I am relatively new to retro gaming, but trying to get a friend into it, as well. She is wanting something quite specific, and I've been doing a lot of research, but was hoping for some recommendations from the community, as well.

Her needs are:

- can play up to NDS

- must have a video out option so she can hook up to her TV

- must have Bluetooth so she can play on TV while using a Bluetooth controller

- must be very reasonably priced - like $100 CAD is what I'm trying to stay around

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I'm currently leaning towards the RG40XXV or RG CubeXX as my top suggestions for her.

Gen 1 & 2 Pokemon ONLY RomHacks?

Hello!

I am trying to get a friend of mine back into Pokemon as we loved it so much as kids, but she only played generations 1 and 2, and will only play games that have exclusively (or predominantly) gen 1 and 2 Pokemon. Are there are recommended RomHacks that have only gen 1/2 Pokemon?

I have played all generations and lightly dabbled in RomHacks, but she's literally only played Red and Silver - I'm going to work her into Firered and Soulsilver, but wanted some fun, new, exciting storylines to suggest to her, also!

Thanks so much in advance!

P.s. I am going to get her set up with a retro console like an Anbernic RG40XXV or CubeXX or something to emulate games.

I've been playing League since 2018 and have been a die-hard support main. I've recently grown very bored of playing support champs, and decided to switch roles. The biggest problem for me is that I'm a terrible CSer, and so I thought I would give Jungle a go, even though I love mages. I was thinking of playing primarily Lillia and Shyvana... any thoughts, suggestions, ideas on whether this is a good combo to focus on?

Champ pool ideas? I have highest mastery on Morgana, as I enjoyed playing supports where I could carry if needed (Senna, Lux, Zyra, etc.). I also did well on champions like Thresh and Nautilus. I'm low elo - like, LOW (silver). So I need to be able to play relatively straightforward champions that can have a big impact if I'm able to get ahead as I can't rely on my teammates very well. I tried Amumu and Rammus and felt like I couldn't do enough on my own to turn the tide of fights. I excel in team fights - that's what I am best at in the game.

Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you! ❤️

EDIT: Is Swift Play an okay place to try to learn jungle, or am I screwing myself over because of the accelerated everything?
