Getting compensated for a delayed flight

Hello,

I am writing here as well, as my post got removed by the moderators of r/Ryanair

Our flight had to depart at 23:45, to Crete Chania, however at the last moment when we arrived at the airport, they sent a message it is delayed.

At the end, we were stuck at the airport until 04:30 o clock.

I have tried going through the website to request compensation but the message is that I am not eligible for compensation due to the reasons being beyond they control which is absurd.

I had paid for one more night at a hotel due to this flight which we lost, paid an our of work hours fee for the rental car pickup once and after the delay I had to pay 30 euro more.

What can I do to get properly compensated?

Thank you!

How to get to Balos beach?

Hello,

We are planning our upcoming trip to Crete and thinking about the logistics around Balos Beach & Elafonisi.

We are considering staying in Kissamos for a few nights to be able to more easily get to both beaches.

I am researching how to get to Balos Beach and it seems that many car rental companies do not allow getting there by car, hence another option is a ferry.

So far i could find only an organized trip for a day from Chania to Balos Beach.

Could you recommend and advise what ferry options he have from Kissamos? Can I just take a ferry from there, what the price is and how regular are the ferries from back Balos to Kissamos?

Thank you!

Planning my own wedding and decided to build a visual seating tool to help me out

Heya there,

I had been planning my wedding for quite a few months which as you are probably aware is no easy task. I ended up falling down the rabbit hole of building my own tools to make my life easier.

Two weeks before my wedding when we had all final RSVPs, we had to position our guests so I spent some time building this visual seating chart as an addition in order to make my life easier. I wanted to focus on being able to seat family, friends together, some people had to face the dance floor for others we had to position them with their backs against the dance floor as well. These details were important for us hence I did add them to the seating chart planner.

I would love your feedback, whether you have had similar cases with event organization and planning and whether you think some improvement could be done!

Chania / Rethimno / Kissamos & Overall Trip Recommendations

Heya everyone,

I have an upcoming trip to Crete in July for 6 full days, we leave on the 7th in the evening, and I had been wondering where I should stay.

I would like to have a combined holiday where some of the days are spent in Chania or perhaps Rethimno, taking it easy, going to the beach, having an afternoon off, enjoying evenings and night life.

On some of the days the plan is to visit some of the popular beaches such as Balos, Elafonissi, and I am wondering whether we should have a base at Chania and travel on the different days or perhaps have less travel and stay at Kissamos or somewhere else.

What would you recommend for a first timer at Crete? What is worth visiting and what is not? Looking at Balos beach it seems quite crowded but perhaps its worth it.

Thank you!

Renting a Car

Greetings everyone,

We have an upcoming trip to Crete and I have been researching for car rentals. There have been many that have been mentioned on Reddit but none have stood out that much.

Car Rental Companies
I have received several recommendations such as

  1. Alamo
  2. Caldera

I found some other recommendations such as eurocar.gr, anna cars on Reddit but I am not fully sure which one I should go with as none stand out too much and have been recommended multiple tjmes and they so have varying deposit amounts - some require a large deposit, others do not.

Furthermore I am wondering whether to go through booking but I see they mention deposits over 750 Euro or directly with a company.

Period
We’ll be renting a car for around 7 days.

Pick-up / Drop-off location
Furthermore, we plan on going to Balos beach, Elafonissi several of the days and I was wondering whether to get a rental car for the whole period and pick it/ leave it at the airport or find some spot near Chania Old Town.

Thank you for your recommendations!

Does the Cosori TF102S have non-stick coating?

Hi everyone,

I have just purchased "COSORI Hot Air Fryer 2 Chambers, Dual Blaze TwinFry 10L Airfryer, with 4 Heating Pipes and Flexible Chambers, Even Heat Distribution, Temperature up to 240 °C, Black, TF102S " from Amazon DE

https://preview.redd.it/cg0ksvdsyh3h1.png?width=1258&format=png&auto=webp&s=81ffcd6d7efcab10f3d98fa12f9776696418bf57

and I am unsure about the coating. On the Amazon product page it says it that the material is "Stainless Steel" and that it does not have non-stick coating

https://preview.redd.it/4f73kxijyh3h1.png?width=1450&format=png&auto=webp&s=5c5b8072f34b91bbc81b1b1a2b9461416ded3db5

However, upon receiving the air fryer just now and unboxing it, it seems that there is non-stick coating on it at least at first glance, similar to the coating from the Philips AirFryers.

Does anyone have any idea as we specifically wanted to get one without all those non-stick coatings that when scratched it becomes an issue.

Planning my own wedding and decided to build a visual seating tool to help me out

Heya there,

I have been planning my wedding for quite a few months now which as you are probably aware is no easy task. Since I have a software engineering background I ended up falling down the rabbit hole of building my own tools for this.

We’re finally at the stage where we have to position our guests so I spent the last week building out this visual seating chart in order to make my life easier.

I would love your feedback and how you managed your weddings' seating charts as well.

We have to share the guest seating chart with the venue really soon and I am also planning on sharing a snapshot with them.

▲ 4 r/Gin

Heya everyone,

I am looking to purchase some good quality gin for my best man and I would really benefit from your recommendations.

I have come across "ADAMUS" and I do see three variations

Has anyone tried those and what would you recommend?

Thank you!
