Should I see an eye doctor for dry eyes?

I'm curious how you decide when chronic dry eyes warrant an eye dr. visit. I've had dry eyes infrequently over the years, and now, i have daily dryness. After hours of looking at screens at work, i feel the need to use eye drops on an increasingly frequent basis. They provide relief, but the relief doesn't last.

I don't know if this is will continue to worsen, slowly impacting my quality of life. I would hate to learn this could have been preventable if i had just seen an eye doctor.

if you have dealt with this, what was your deciding factor for making your first appt? did you get a clear diagnosis, or were you given treatment recommendations for your dry eye?

Astigmatism treatment

I have astigmatism and want to find a good doctor.

There are so many clinics, and i don't even know where to begin.

please recommend eye dr. or vision specialist, specially if you have had a good experience.

It would be even better if this specialist took their time and was considerate.

Drain cleaner

About a month ago, we started our kitchen sink draining even slower, now there is a strange gurgling sound coming from the other side of the sink when the dishwasher is draining. i've tried a drain snake and the usual home remedies, but the problem persists.

Looking for an honest cleaner and not one that is going to try to sell me a whole sewer line replacement because of a drain backup.

I'm not looking for a price quote, but if you have someone to recommend or someone to stay away from i'd appreciate it.

Turns out he wasn't lazy

For almost 2 years we thought our son just didn't want to read. homework look forever. He'd lose his spot every few seconds and get frustrated fast. Teachers kept saying he needed to focus more. Regular eye exams were normal. Eventually we learned he had tracking issues and started pediatric vision therapy. The different has honestly been huge. Now i'm wondering how many kids get misunderstood because nobody checks for this stuff earlier? Anyone else experience this?

I want to get contact lenses and need a good fitting. I tried some, but didn't have a good experience. They were in a hurry, and the lenses didn't feel comfortable after some time. i'm near Downtown/Historic District, so any nearby place is fine. I just want a place where they take time and help me find the right lenses, and let me try different ones. Any good suggestions?

I know a lot of people order contacts online now, but i'm wondering how safe it actually is. Do legit sites check your prescription properly, and do the lenses feel the same as ones from a store or eye doctor? I've never ordered contacts online before, so I'm a bit insure about it all works. I don't want to end up with the wrong lenses or something that feels uncomfortable. If you're done this before, was it smooth and reliable for you? And which online store do you trust the most?

If anyone around Richmond has been putting off an eye exam, consider this year sign to go. I finally visited Frame and Focus eye care after noticing headaches, blurry vision by the end of the day, and struggling with night driving. I thought just needed less screen time. Really impressed with how professional and helpful they were. The optometrist actually listened, explained what was happening, and made the whole appointment easy. Turns out I needed an updated prescription and had some dry eye irritation. SInce getting that sorted out, the headaches have mostly disappeared and everything feels much more comfortable. Sharing because good healthcare experiences are rare enough to mention. What finally made you book your last year exam.

Kitchen drain is completely backed up and bother sinks are falling with dirty water. Tried the usual fixes and nothing worked. Need someone who can come today and clear it properly.

If you're used a plumber recently who was quick, professional, and worth the money, drop their name here.
