Poop Problems

Thirteen weeks postpartum from a very straightforward, planned c-section (baby was breech). Overall, recovery has gone pretty well. The past week or so, right before I have to poo and during, I get crazy cramps. Worse than any period cramp. Like...white knuckle grabbing my knees while I'm on the throne. Never had that pre-C. Anyone else? Worth mentioning to OB?

Any c-section mother runners?

Just getting back into running at 10.5 weeks postpartum after a c-section. Any ladies out there have any experience with this? When did you start running again? How did it feel? How long did it take until running felt like it did "before"? Tips?

To add: I work with a coach who is also a pelvic floor PT. My run today was a warm-up walk, then a mix of jog/walk for several intervals, then cool down. I know I'm in good hands, just wondering what other ladies have done that has worked, or hasn't.

Hand sucking

Hiya! FTM to a 10-week-old. He has recently discovered his hands and seems to like to suck on them to soothe while dozing off. I know thumb sucking is a habit that is hard break! He spits out every pacifier we've tried. Should I really spend the energy discouraging the hand sucking?

Feeding on demand to...not

LO is almost 10 weeks old. Feeding on demand has served us well, as he is gaining weight appropriately. But, my god...it's every 60-90 minutes! Has anyone ever made the switch from on-demand feeding to something a litttttle more scheduled?

Gas help!

8 weeks. Miserable with gas. Yes, we've tried bicycle kicks. And gas drops. And practically hanging upside down like a fruit bat. Any recs? Spirituals? Magic poop chants? Spells?

Where do you put your phone?

Those of you who don't wear compression/spandex shorts with a phone pocket, where do you put your phone when you run?! I see all these breezy shorts that look so comfy, especially for summer, but how would I carry my phone comfortably?

6 week hostage situation

EBF. Baby boy is six weeks old. My nerves are shot. I feel like I'm totally held hostage to this feeding dilemma.

I put him on the boob on demand. First five minutes are fine, then suddenly, he SCREAMS. Refuses to relatch. So, I then pump for a few minutes and put that in a bottle for him. Which he also refuses. Rinse, repeat every two hours.

I feel like I'm going insane. How are we ever going to take him anywhere if he can't get a good, full feed?

[US] Qualification Question

US-based. I work at a law school. I am considering applying for a position as an internal candidate but do not have all the credentials (but a long list of relevant experience that nearly mirrors the position description). A few years ago, the organization started posting positions as JD-preferred and it has really discouraged me (and others) from applying to roles they would really rock! I do not have a JD. Should I still apply? Will that make it awkward? Thanks!

Sudden Pivot to C-Section

So, little bean is breech (38w). We have declined ECV for many reasons and Spinning Babies doesn't seem to have done the trick yet. If he doesn't turn in a week, we're in for a c-section. After planning and preparing extensively for a "conventional" delivery with a goal of no medication, I'm feeling rattled by pivoting to the absolute maximum intervention on offer. I just want baby to be safe and healthy...and I just have this feeling like I've done something wrong.

Of course, if the shoe were on anyone else's foot, I wouldn't dare let them feel this way. Why can't I give myself the same grace?
