Channel 5’s Tour de France highlights

Anyone watch Channel 5‘s Tour de France highlights? It’s a new production. What’s it like? Do they have people in France following the Tour? Or is it remote coverage?

I missed it yesterday

Recommendation for e-ink matter-over-thread thermometer hygrometer?

I'd like a thermometer hygrometer (device measuring temperature and humidity) that satisfies:

  1. E-ink screen (so visible at all times in all light at all angles)
  2. Matter-over-Thread (compatibility with Home Assistant)
  3. Long battery life (at least one year)

Ikea's Timmerflotte (£5) satisfies 2 and 3, but doesn't have a permanent screen.

Govee's discontinued H5105 (£9) satisfied 1 and 3, but relied on Bluetooth connectivity.

Any recommendations?

Is air conditioning more efficient when it's colder outside than inside?

I understand that an air conditioner might have an energy efficiency ratio (EER) of around 4, meaning that it can cool a room by 4 units of energy for each unit of energy consumed.

Is an air conditioner any more efficient if the outdoor air is *cooler* than the indoor air? I imagine this is rare in the tropics, but can easily happen on UK summer nights (outside air temperature 20 degrees Celsius, indoor temperature 25 degrees Celsius)

Are there any LED bulbs with both?

  1. EU/UK energy rating A (luminous efficacy at least 210 lumens per Watt)
  2. Dim to warm (colour temperature decreases as you dim the bulb)

I'm in the UK but can import from Europe.

My 3yo is enjoying Amazing Maurice and his Educated Rodents. We're listening to an abridged audiobook read by Tony Robinson (3 hours long instead of 8 hours long). Is there an abridged paper edition? We like to have books on paper and audiobook.
