Where to put TV in awkward living room

We move in soon and can’t decide. I think putting the tv on top of fireplace will be too high? But the 2 large windows might cause glare or ruin flow in other places?

Happy for any general advice too as we are 2x first time buyers who have never decorated or moved anywhere before!

Inpost Error to my benefit?

Bought a very inexpensive pair of shorts for £2 on Vinted and received through in-post a pair of women’s shoes. (£30)

Seller says that they sent the correct item and so must be a mistake from the courier. My parcel had the correct shipping label on.

I raised with seller who requested a return but would not pay for the cost of shipping. As this isn’t my mistake I am also not prepared to pay for the shipping.

Contacted Vinted Support but I hear this can take 25 working days to sort??

I am tempted to just click ok on the order and resell these shoes quickly to move on. Im in the process of moving house and I don’t want to store these shoes and if I can’t sell they will be sent to charity shop.

Any thoughts? Will Vinted take any action from me selling an item I received in error?

Thanks!

FTB - House Survey Scaries

Hi all would like some opinions on this house survey we have had come back.

First offer accepted of £280,000 built in 1960’s

No chain on either end. Vacant house. Sellers have also agreed to leave the house fully furnished. I estimate saving us £3k in sofas, tables chairs etc

Me and my partner fell in love with house and despite the house being dated were prepared to modernise throughout.

Ok so:

Level 3 concerns:

Roof - “The roof covering is nearing the end of its effective life and re-covering may well be needed in the near future. “ est 15-20k

Doors - Patio doors and front door do not have safety glass. Est 3k

Electrics - “We have concerns regarding the age of the installation which we believe will not meet current
safety standards. Due to our concerns, together with no signs of a recent test of the electrical
installation, we recommend an electrical inspection is completed prior to legal commitment to
purchase with all recommendations fully costed and implemented.”

Garage - “ garage is in a poor state of repair. Ponding water was noted to the flat roof, indicating
inadequate falls and increasing the risk of premature failure of the roof covering and water
ingress.“

Attic - “The party wall is of masonry construction and is not complete and does not offer satisfactory
separation between the subject and adjacent property.”

Any help really appreciated
