How come kids don’t wear sunglasses?

Trying to wrap my head around this so bear with me

Adults wear sunglasses for clear benefits like protecting our eyes from long-term damage, improving visibility, and sometimes preventing sunburn.

But kids often spend far more time outdoors, whether walking home from school or playing outside. It seems like they should be the main demographic we’re protecting with sunglasses.

Do you buy sunglasses for your kids? If not, how come? I personally don’t

How good is this team?

For the first time since the Killer B's era, I finally have real hope. I'm not even talking about Will Howard or Drew Allar. Their potential is the cherry on top of what could be a great year

Seriously, what chance do we stand of not losing easy games and still winning hard ones with McCarthy? I honestly have zero clue what to expect...

A legendary veteran QB playing what is expected to be his final NFL season could be a movie. Our offense is unusually competent, and unlike past seasons, I'm not really worried about our WRs catching the ball and running the opposite way they're supposed to run (I think Diontae Johnson gave me long-lasting Steelers PTSD)

We poured a lot of draft capital into the O line. I think this is the year we realize why

And while I ain’t no NFL expert and can’t compare what we have with every other team, I think Tomlin held our defense back over the years, so I’m not worried about them

What are you most excited to see from this Sharks roster?

My answer: Chernyshov has exploded from a 2nd round gamble into an impressive 28 game, 19 point rookie stint.

Will Asky get the keys to the net or will Ned be his landlord? What kind of development do we see from Dickie in year 2?

My main hypothesis about the season is that if Smitty trains his speed and strength like he kind of did last summer, he'll be the difference between making the playoffs or not. I'm okay to turn a blind eye on his defense for the same reason why Messi's a goat who walks 99% of the time. I may or may not exclusively own a Smitty jersey, but I guess we'll never know...

LET'S TALK SHARKS! Who are people excited to watch besides the obvious young guys?

Thoughts on MISSION so far?

I'm very curious about the new camera. I have a HERO12 so I don't even know where to start. I'd love to hear from people who have actually bought a MISSION 1 Pro/ILS. What was the best use for you? Did it exceed your expectations? Personally, I use my GoPro to record long drives and POV footage playing soccer.

On Dylan Field

I’m not Dylan Field, but I have been a Figma shareholder since August 2025.

People seem to judge him almost entirely through Figma’s current stock price, as if every decline is proof of managerial failure. That is neither fair nor especially logical. A public-market investor is making a wager on long-term execution under uncertainty, not passing judgment on every intermediate price movement.

In Around the World in Eighty Days, an elderly lord confined to his chair would have given his fortune to make Phileas Fogg’s journey himself, even if it took ten years. Since he could not go, he bet five thousand pounds on Fogg. He was not merely betting on whether one man could circle the globe in eighty days. He was placing himself behind the ambition, courage, and possibility of the expedition.

Dylan Field should be judged by the company he is building, the decisions he makes over time, and whether Figma continues to advance its purpose. The stock price matters, but it is not the mission. Figma’s mission is to make design accessible to everyone, and that is what shareholders, employees, and users should ultimately care about.

When a stock capitulates, anger comes easily. I have felt it before. But this subreddit is ultimately a community first, and the conversation should be better than turning every painful price move into personal hostility toward the founder.
