Big Sur Alternatives

Hey y'all! I had a trip planned to Big Sur in about a week, but I don't think that will be happening due to the current fire that is very sadly burning in the area at the moment. That means we have 2-3 days and nowhere to go! We fly into San Francisco so I was just wondering where you guys would recommend going? We were mostly going to be doing some hiking and camping-especially along the pretty coastlines of Big Sur- and I'd like to do some hiking and potentially beaching(maybe even camp on a beach?) so I was thinking of potentially going up North, but just not sure where to head to up that way.

Thank you guys!

Is this goose injured? And if I call animal rehab will they just put the goose down?

Saw this lil guy today on a run. He walks okay but seems like he's unable to use his wings and they sort of droop down. It doesn't look like angel wing because they're not out, just down. I feel like they might be broken but I'm not sure.

Are these harmful to the tree/fruit?

Saw these lil guys on a bunch of pawpaw trees in the same area. It looks like they only congregate near the actual fruit. I looked it up and it looks like they're called wooly planthoppers. Are they any danger to the fruit or tree?

How to communicate with stable SO

Hey y'all. I've recently been dating a person who is either stable or leaning DA(i'm guessing more stable from what I've seen and hear from him) and sometimes it feels like a breath of fresh air, and sometimes I feel like a crazy woman because of my tendency to overthink lol. I feel like his stability has almost pulled me into my anxious side, which I'm not used to and don't prefer.

Recently I've felt very, very clingy and today I HATE IT. I feel like I've been asking my SO to hang out more often than he has, and today I asked him to hang because I knew he was free, but he gave me a reason why he couldn't see me even though I know he could've. In my rational mind, I absolutely understand why he would want some space and a day to himself before he has to work, but my irrational mind noticed that this is the first time he hasn't wanted to see me on a day off, and that he cancelled an event we were supposed to attend together yesterday because "he didn't feel well'. I immediately felt all of the distant thoughts rise up in my mind:"okay we have to stop being clingy, stop replying to him so often and absolutely do not ask him to hangout again until he asks first" and "start distancing yourself so that he doesn't get overwhelmed and to see if he even cares", etc etc.

So my question is.... How much of my thoughts do I actually tell him? I don't want to scare the guy, and I've already apologized for being clingy this weekend(which i also regret apologizing for). Should I just try to handle the anxious thoughts on my own/actually become a little more distant, or do I tell him that I'm struggling between having these anxious thoughts/getting more distant? I feel like I'm going to scare him if I talk about all of this at once. HELP.

Jobs while in medic school

Hey y'all! Currently in medic school and work in a hospital as an ER tech. The only reason Ive stayed here was because they're paying for school, but I just recently learned they won't pay for the rest of school (3 more semesters). This job has been a great learning experience but it kind of sucks and I'm tired lol. I've been thinking about picking up a serving job instead, but was just wondering what y'all did while you were in school and how the heck you did it.

I also don't have my fire card yet unfortunately or i would start looking at fire jobs :(

I have lived alone for over 2 years now and I love it. I've always felt like I needed space from people, so moving into my own lil cocoon has been great. I have friends and family near me, but most of my close friends now have significant others. I am not in a relationship, and have my two cats lol.

These past couple of weeks though, idk... I certainly have had days where I felt lonely but was able to shake it off after a day or two. This time, though, i cannot shake the feeling. Every time I leave an event, I wish I had someone to call or someone to come home to. I wish I had someone who would help me with the mundane errands around the house. I wish I had someone to tell all of my boring day to day activities to.

And I HATE that I feel this way. I'm a proud independent lady and I've always been good at being solo. But just because I'm good at it doesn't mean I want it, I guess. Anyways, have you guys had these prolonged feelings of loneliness? What do you do to ease it? I've tried being more social, and tried to make the house less quiet. But it usually is the strongest in my way home from events/work and when I first get inside. Help!!
