Trying to read and formulate text in a lucid dream

I've been an off/on lucid dreamer my whole life. Last night I had what I consider one of the more controlled lucid dreams. I had conversations with people in the dream; in fact, I told them I was in a lucid dream, and they explained what to do to wake up if I wanted to.

I was really meta and began testing all sorts of things: a bit of flying, sex, a swim underwater, changing backgrounds, etc. Did the mirror thing briefly; it was basically me making a funny face.

Then I wanted to read and change writing on signs and buildings I saw, but all I got was gobbledygook. Nothing was legible, and it just kept morphing and wasn't legible. I focused on changing from English to French, which was also nonsense. I then tried Cyrillic characters, but couldn't formulate anything.

This was such an intense dream that I had to map my way back home to finally wake up. Literally, couldn't do it without changing the story where I crafted streets to get back home.

Has anyone had success with reading/changing text in their dreams?

Grafting multiple crabapples to a rootstock- has anyone done it?

I had a crabapple that I transplanted after only a year, but the rootstock shot up where I dug out the tree. Newb here, so I thought I was going to get another crabapple; alas, I learned about grafting, and now I have what appears to be a random apple tree growing. Because it will eventually drop apples on my neighbor's yard, I did a deep dive into grafting and have a plan. I will take scions from three different crabapple trees and graft them to the 2" rootstock that's growing. This way I'll get three different colors of flowers on one tree. Has anyone done this with a crabapple? If so, how does it look? Thanks.

New crabapple from rootstock, will it become an apple tree?

I replanted a purple leaf crabapple with the small fruit. A year later, I got a nice specimen growing from the old rootstock, so I decided two trees for the price of one is nice. But after a couple of years, I noticed it's not purple-leafed and hasn't bloomed, so I thought maybe it's some other sucker. After research, it does seem to be a crabapple growing from the rootstock.

My question for those who know about how the grafting process works: does the rootstock typically have 'regular' sized fruit compared to the purple leaf minifruit? Is the rootstock even a crabapple, or will this produce regular apples? It hasn't bloomed yet, though it seems healthy, so I might have to wait a few years to find out.

My only real concern, beyond curiosity, is that it eventually will grow over the fence and drop stuff on my neighbor's yard, which would not be ideal.

Horrible AI advice

I've got three Autumn Blazes in my Colorado front range yard that need so much iron just to stay green, and usually the leaves turn brown and fall off each year. AI telling me to get an Autumn Blaze because it's good in clay.
