What happens if you sign up for the OWP at Banfield as an associate and then quit/get fired?

Basically that ^ would I be stuck paying the rest of the year? I started there about 2 months ago and don’t plan on quitting or getting fired anytime soon lol but ya never know so it’s just important info to have but hard to ask about.

passed out after donating blood & thought I died

Not really sure where else to talk about this because I feel silly and overdramatic. I went to give blood the other day thinking nothing of it since I’ve given blood before and never had any issues. This time was the same - made it all the way through and they were just gathering the bags of blood and putting my info in the system when all of a sudden I got hit with a huge wave of nausea. Then I started feeling really lightheaded so I told the woman “not gonna lie I feel kind of lightheaded” and next thing I knew I was waking up with my nose on fire (from the ammonia they used to wake me up) and two people standing over me. I remember my first thought being “I died” and feeling panicked and terrified. I couldn’t remember where I was or what had happened and I had no clue how long I’d been out. I asked and apparently I was out for about 30 seconds but it felt like hours - I had full blown vivid dreams. I remember one of them holding down my arm and saying “I need you to relax” and realizing I was holding my arm so tense. It was very bizarre and scary and embarrassing. They were very chill and nice about the whole incident. But I felt so off for the rest of the day. I tried to go to the store after but was so disoriented and out of it that I couldn’t remember why I was in there or what I needed so I just left. I went home and napped for hours and felt nauseous for the rest of the day. I can’t help but feel slightly traumatized by the experience. Which feels so dramatic and dumb. But I really thought I had died.

ready for degreasing?

hi! I found this raccoon skull back in march and have had it macerating in water ever since. I think all of the flesh is off at this point. does this look ready for degreasing to y’all? this is my first time doing this (will include pics from when I found it and first cleaned it up - first two pics are current)

asmrtist recommendations (lofi slow, gentle taps) [discussion]

been trying to find new asmrtists to watch but youtube search is so incredibly bad now that it makes it almost impossible. I prefer a casual style with gentle, slow (but not painfully slow) taps and whisper. usually on the more lofi side. asmrtists I really like are southernasmr sounds, cozylotus, and asmrplanet. so similar vibes to those would be awesome. really not a fan of super over-produced feeling stuff. any recommendations would be appreciated because youtube search really does make it impossible to find new content/channels

ISO somewhere similar to Boone with better job opportunities

Hi! I lived in Boone for the last 6 years and moved back to Raleigh last year in search of more job opportunities. Haven’t had much success and realized I’m absolutely miserable in the summers here and miss the scenery and outdoorsy activities so much. Can y’all recommend any places that are similar to Boone (climate, scenery, etc.) but have better job opportunities (and ideally not a college town)? (really open job wise - have a degree in English professional writing but also interested in veterinary work or anything that pays atp lol)

I have been looking into Roanoke, VA but am worried the climate there might be too similar to Raleigh with hot, humid summers and more mild winters. LMK!

DAE not like listening to music in a lot of contexts?

After living with family, friends, partners, and random roommates I realized it seems like everyone else listens to music at any chance they get. I’m not sure if I’m just hyper-sensitive to sound or what but I find myself so irritated by it. I never say anything because everyone else enjoys it and who am I to ruin it for everyone else? I live alone now and I never play music or really anything out loud. Even if I scroll reels they’re always on silent. I just prefer the silence even when cooking, cleaning, hanging out at the pool or on the porch, walking the dog, and even *most* of the time when I drive (especially the driving one a lot of people find unusual and will call me out on “why aren’t you playing music?” and it’s honestly just because I don’t even notice or think about it most of the time). I just find the silence very comforting and underwhelming in a good way. Does anyone relate to this? Feels silly to ask because surely other people do but I don’t know anyone else personally that feels this way!

I’m legitimately terrified of losing my dog

As the caption says, I’m terrified of losing my dog. She’s the first dog I’ve ever had. She’s my soulmate and my reason for living. I’ve struggled a lot - especially the last few months and after losing close friends, my partner, and my job she’s honestly all I have. I will have had her for a year in July and she’s only two years old so hopefully her time won’t come for a long time. But dogs don’t live very long. I think about this every day. I don’t think I’ll make it when I lose her. I’m so scared and already heartbroken over it. I’ve been through a lot of hard times in my life and experienced a lot of loss but I seriously think losing her might break me. Sometimes it scares me so bad I wonder if I made the right decision by getting a dog.
