Cheap or expensive? Republic of Georgia

Today, I was taken to a private clinic because I was experiencing shortness of breath. At first, I thought it might be related to allergies, but it turned out to be a viral infection.

The ambulance crew gave me an injection of dexamethasone, and they also sprayed some medication into my mouth, which helped relieve my breathing difficulties. At the hospital’s emergency department, I had a complete blood count, an ECG, and a chest X-ray. They also checked my blood pressure and temperature. I was given two liters of IV fluids (saline), as well as another, smaller IV infusion to bring down my fever.

After being treated in the emergency department, I was moved to a private room because I had a viral infection that could potentially be transmitted to other patients. While there, I received several inhalation treatments and had consultations with a pulmonologist, a cardiologist, and a radiologist. And there was a meal too.

The total cost of all the treatment was $20.77, which I paid out of pocket. The rest, about $76.93 was covered by the state universal healthcare insurance. I do pay nothing specifically for this insurance. The government covers it from my and other citizens' taxes.

What would be the cost in your country? The ambulance service is totally free in every case. What about your countries/states?

Global politics and society at statale, anyone?

Hi everyone! I’ve been admitted to the GPS program and am looking to connect with fellow admitted students. It would be great to share information, experiences, and preparations before the program starts. I'm 28, from Georgia.

Fishing in Milan (best places around the city)

Hello, I will soon be moving to Milan for the next two years. I go fishing at least six times a month, so I’m looking for suitable fishing spots near the city. I’m not interested in stocked waters; I prefer natural rivers, canals, and lakes.

I’ve found out that I need a Type B fishing licence, but I would like to understand what else I need to know after getting it, and where I can legally fish around Milan. I use several techniques, including feeder fishing, spinning, float fishing, and bottom fishing with sinkers.
