How to replace these bathtub faucets?

I gather they expect you to cut out the drywall? I can’t figure any way to access them. But even so that be more than a foot from the hot water faucet.

Are shower drain covers like this replaceable?

This is the drain cover in a second floor shower. It’s showing signs of rust. Also on the left there is what I believe is worn away sealant. Since it’s in a tract house I think it might be a common part that may be replaceable. Can someone here clue me in?

Have you put in a retractable version of the garage tennis ball hack?

I’d like to put in a retractable tennis ball on a string to help my wife park in our garage rather than leave the ball hang down. I found some videos showing a version where the ball retracts. It’s a simple setup but I just cannot figure out how to measure for placing a second eye hook to take up the slack. It seems I am too ignorant to do this simple thing. Does anyone have any tips for me?
