Rivian Assistant Text Messaging and My Wife

First off, let me state that I’m thrilled that we have finally have this capability at all after years of nothing but unsafe smartphone usage. I don’t want to spark the whole smartphone projection debate here, but I am on the side of choice is better than relying on one company to create all of the software itself. Imagine if you could only use Apple’s apps on your iPhone or Mac, or Google’s on Android, or Microsoft’s on Windows.

But heres the thing about Rivian’s text messaging implementation that I do get daily shit for - my wife hates it.

Every sentence it sends ends in a period. It’s tone is always matter of fact, never friendly. You can’t even dictate punctuation, it just spells them out i.e “See you soon. Exclamation point.” - I’m not kidding.

It texts like my 65 year old father in law.

I asked RA if there were any settings that would allow me to alter the tone to more casual, friendly, etc. hoping that like every other modern assistant it would offer some ability to change how it approaches its messaging. Sadly not.

Beyond that, the UI cuts off message previews even when there are inches of free white space underneath, opting to aggressively concatenate into a … after three lines instead of previewing the entire message.

Again - it’s great they’ve added something, but this is yet another solved issue that they have taken onto themselves and have yet again delivered an implementation that is not up to the standards of the smartphone project versions we’ve had for over a decade.

I may never get CarPlay - but perhaps we can get this to the point where every message doesn’t come off as passive aggressive 😂

Grain Effect Corrupted

I’ve noticed recently that the grain effect is no longer rendering properly. It now renders like a criss-cross thatched texture instead of actual grain.

I’ve attached two photos - both with the same strength of grain. One was edited a while back, the other edited today. I’ve been seeing this issue for a few weeks now.

Does anyone know what the issue could be?

I am on the iOS27 public beta — could that be it?

Would appreciate any help!

High Internal Humidity

I searched and couldn’t find any other posts (uh oh for me), but recently my Matic has been giving me high internal humidity warnings after long cleaning sessions. When I open the lid there is noticeable condensation on the lid, moisture in the cavity underneath the bag and the outside bottom of the bag is damp.

I wasn’t having these issues with the previous batch of bags - Are the bags defective or did my Matic develop an issue?

Has anyone else ever experienced this?

I’ll reach out to customer support as well but curious if this is just me.

Anyone have positive experiences with Navimow customer support?

I’m about to pull the trigger on a Navimow (actually already ordered once, but UPS lost the package and Home Depot refunded me). Before I reorder, I wanted to ask the community about your experiences with their customer support specifically.

Reason I’m asking: I’m currently dealing with a nightmare on the robot vacuum side with 3i. They’ve had my unit since May 21st, and I’ve reached out five times now between email and live chat with zero response. It’s been miserable, and it’s made support responsiveness a huge factor in what I buy going forward.

So before I commit to Navimow, I’d love to hear from current owners.

If something went wrong, were they actually reachable? Did they make it right? Any horror stories or success stories welcome.

Thanks in advance
