I normally have fine wavy hair but all my regrowth is wirey/cosrse. Has this happened to anyone else? What was ur trigger?

Diagnosed TE by 4 doctors however I still suspect aga and finally bit the bullet and started OM! how was it like for you guys? The first few months of dead shread? And then the new growth afterwards? Starting at 0.625 for a week then moving up to 1.25

I (26F) took MJ for 6-7 months and went through acute telogen effluvium (basically where ur hair falls out and returns) thought nothing of it. Skip to today. Went for a checkup since my hair has been thinning since the start of mj. Got diagnosed with androgenetic Alopecia (female pattern hair loss). My doctor believes telogen effluvium can “unmask” androgenetic Alopecia if you had it in your genes. I just now have it around 25 years earlier than I would have. Not to scare anyone away from this medicine. But please do your research into this and maybe see if women in your family have genetic hair thinning before taking this call. I personally didn’t yet still got it. Monitor your hair loss. Go in for hair checkups every 3-6 months. Don’t wait till you catch it before it’s too late👍🏻 I personally regret it and would never have taken this decision had I known. Good luck to all

I have normally medium thickness fine hair but lately I’ve been noticing these weird hair coming out from the root? They’re coarse, darker and thicker, thin in some spots and thicker in others and very crinkly/wirey

Can it unmask aga? Currently have TE only.

I believe I have APKH (acquired progressive kinking of hair) and am looking to reverse it as the texture is very frustrating and no derm will take me seriously so question to those who had these hair- what made them go away?

So I’ve had chronic te for over a year now and my temples and sides have completely filled in but I highly suspect aga due to some info on here suggesting coarse hair on the top of the head could be AGA however I’m not able to get a straight answer from any of these derms and they’ve done a whole dermascope of my scalp and concluded not AGA (biopsy not available where I stay) but I’ve also seen comments with people with TE saying their hair turned coarse and wirey with chronic TE. My parting has not widened at all in the last year. Would it be dumb to self diagnose and start minox? 25F and scared as all derms have said not to start minox but alas researching the internet all day and night has really gotten the best of me ):
