So here’s the update you’ve all been waiting for: for context see the deleted linked post in r/AITAH.

So I planned confronting my ex with the fact that she cheated on me on vacation; she has never ever been cheating-wise hurt by a guy and I have, so I wanted closure on the cheating-trauma for me and to give her an experience to never forget.

She was gone for 2 weeks with her girl-friend and three other guys, and went to bed with two of the guys who went along, among more things that happened that I don’t know about. At this point, she didn’t know that I know and even have photos, so I printed the pictures on A4 size. I picked her and her girlfriend up at the airport and decided to be fair, take her home and give her time to tell me what she did.

When she didn’t come with the things she did after she was back for about a day, I confronted her that night. She was still in denial of doing anything, even about holding hands with other guys and telling me she was sleeping with clothes on while her girlfriend (who found her in that bed and had to tell her what happened) told me otherwise. So I invited the friend and we started talking. I got somewhat mad and emotional, pulled out the photos and put them on the table one by one. She first stayed silent, started crying a little bit, and didn’t say much. So I put down another photo and asked again, ‘what happened on vacation?’ Still no answer. After the third photo the same. I said she was lying and then asked what it all did to her, she said it doesn’t matter how she feels but it made her feel gross, TLDR version. She didn’t know when she was gonna tell me herself.

Not much later, when I was calling her mom to get the message out, she dashed upstairs to get a knife. When I asked what she was going to do with it, she ignored me at first and walked to the back door. When I tried to stop her, she turned around and said: ‘It’s not worth listening to you when I have to live without you, goodbye’ and ran away. I panicked and felt some blame so I couldn’t help myself and went looking for her together with her family and law enforcement. After some time she read my texts but didn’t respond. Some more time passed and her phone died so calls weren’t coming in. Luckily, after 74 phone calls to lots of friends to help look out for her and after a lot of searching, the police found her after 4 hours and (mental) help was set up by a crisisteam organized by the police.

A day has passed and the first talks have been made; she even thought what I did was kind of cool and totally deserved. More and professional help with talking and how she feels is being set up and soon to come. Maybe this wasn’t necesary or maybe this had to happen to open her eyes, but even though she cheated on me it’s not in my nature to just let her go on like this and suffer. I just hope that she now learns to be responsible, fair and to not lie to her close ones for a stupid guy you probably won’t ever see again - and i hope she gets the help she needs.

I want to install these amber lights for my occupation, have to work besides pass-through roads. I want to try and not cut the wires, but the button housing is a bit clumsy.

Where can I pull the wires from the engine bay to the cabin with the most ease? Pull them through the ECU box to the passenger side or the wiring harnass on the driver side?
