Himalayan as a daily driver?

Hey guys I am planning to buy a new motorcycle for my day to day uses. First was thinking of getting an interceptor but after doing research i dropped the idea as that is a heavy and gas guzzler machine and heats a lot in city traffic. 350s doesn’t have that punch so I am thinking about going with the sherpa. Grr neither has road presence nor beautiful colours so i am thinking about going with this big boy. Hanle black looks damn sexy guys. I checked out that it has 805mm seat option too ( I’m 176cms and with shoes 180mm I guess). I don’t live in cities like Bombay and Delhi. Should i pull the trigger? You simply can’t decide by just 4 kms test ride so i want to take your suggestions.

One question: Why wasn’t this beauty included in Honda’s recent showcase?

I know sports bikes aren’t very popular these days but there are still people waiting for the Honda CBR300R

ADVs are the best bikes for Indian roads

After seeing the road conditions during the rainy season and the government’s apathy towards them I believe ADVs make much more sense. I think every motorcycle company should make lightweight smaller cc ADVs for daily commuting. We really don't deserve good cruisers like rebel 300/500.

Sports. Naked. Roadster. I'm totally confused.

My bike journey started back in 2020 when my father bought me my first bike, a Splendor Plus. I still remember how it felt it was like a dream come true. My cousin brought it home and I was sitting behind him because I didn't know how to ride.

After a while I started getting bored because it was just a basic commuter bike and its speed was limited to 85 kmph Later I rode my friend's Pulsar 180. Its riding posture felt completely different to me and for the first time.I rode a bike with clip on handlebars. The bike was quite old and had some power issues though. After that.my friend decided to buy a new bike. He was thinking about getting a Hunter but I convinced him to buy the Classic 350 Stealth Black. The first time I rode it oh man what a feeling It felt heavy planted and had great low end torque. But after a few months I started trying to ride it faster and realized that this machine wasn't made for that. Around 2024 I stopped riding bikes and bought my first car a second-hand Honda Amaze. It took me two or three months to slowly learn how to drive. Later I started revving it close to the redline before shifting into second gear. My friend and I used to go out when the roads had less traffic usually after 10 PM. Those were some beautiful days. But over time I started feeling that cars can't give you the adrenaline rush that bikes can.

By God's grace I've saved around ₹4.5 lakh in the last six months and now I'm thinking about buying my first bike with my own money. But the more I try to find the perfect bike the more confused I become. Let me explain why.

The first bike that comes to my mind is the GT 650. But after reading many reviews I feel that this beauty looks amazing from far but it's heavy and probably not a bike for daily use.

Then comes the Interceptor 650. Everything about it is good but I don't really like its colours.

But whenever I watch MotoGP videos, I feel like I should also get a bike like the RR 310 or R15 because sports bikes can give you that adrenaline rush. Then there's the Guerrilla 450 which is lightweight and agile and doesn't look appealing to me

I'm not considering KTM Triumph or Honda because their showrooms and service centres aren't available in my town which is a tier3 city.

I get bored of materialistic things quite easily so this time I want to buy a bike that can still bring a smile to my face five years from now. That's why I'm finding it so difficult to choose.

Share your thoughts—negative, positive, anything—about this motorcycle

I'm really tempted to buy this motorcycle but I'm unable to decide whether I should or not. Buying it isn't a problem for me but the slightly higher maintenance costs and lower mileage are. I don't know if I'll be able to handle these expenses in the long term.

After reading and watching reviews I’m still unable to decide: GT or Inty?

After reading hundreds of thousands of comments and reviews, I'm still unable to decide which one is perfect for me.

Why INT650?

It's a retro looking twin cylinder 650 and it's good for both daily city rides and highway rides. But the question is do I actually like how it looks? Ans: No not as much as I love the GT.

Do I like the colors of the INT650? Ans: Cali Green looks good, but the GT's Red and Chrome looks stunning.

Now why GT650?

Once while coming back from a trip I asked the driver to let me drive the car. That's how much I love driving cars and bikes. If God gave me the option to choose what I wanted to become in another life, my dream would be to become a racing driver. That's how much I love these machines.

And why the GT650?

It looks really, really beautiful. The only major con for me is its aggressive riding posture.

Unfortunately there are no twins available at the nearby RE showrooms so I'm unable to take a test ride. I will have to go for like 200 kms to take a test ride.

My mind says go for the INT650. It's the more practical overall bike and can be your daily rider.

But my heart says who knows what will happen tomorrow buy the bike your heart wants. Especially the Red one ❤️

If you were in my place, which one would you pick?

Most affordable 650 with alloys now

RE really did a great job but a chrome engine and Black Alloys would look much better in my opinion.

Cali Green or Sunset Strip. Which color looks classier?

I'm unable to decide on the color of the Inty. I love solid colors like Cali Green but black is my favorite color. I'm still confused.

What mileage do you get on regular E20 petrol and how much do you spend on servicing?

It would be really helpful for people like me who are planning to buy one. Please share your ownership experience and maintenance costs guys

Does the GRR450 not have any road presence?

I read many comments saying that the Guerrilla 450 doesn't have much road presence and looks too small but when I saw it in person, it didn't look like a small bike at all

Is inty expensive to maintain?

I have been thinking about buying a bike for a while and this machine attracts me the most. My friends are suggesting that I should go with a 350 as it is expensive to maintain and fuel prices are rising these days. My yearly running is around 4-5k km. My heart really wants to buy the 650.
