Alt Rx review: Switched prescription and fraudulent charges

I sent a request for a doctors evaluation on July 7 and was asked for which prescription I was requesting. I was suggested and selected tirzepatide which was $149/month. I was charged this amount. I didn’t receive any confirmation email but called their number and confirmed I paid for tirzepatide and was told they were having issues with their server and should receive an email shortly. I was shipped an injection and double checked my account before taking it and my account stated I was on the tirzeptide plan.

Aug 3 I called and spoke with a representative that confirmed system issues and said I would be getting emails starting that day. They also told me that I paid for tirzepatide, and was signed up for tirzepatide but I was sent semaglutide. I was told a supervisor would call me back. I called 2 days later where a 3rd person confirmed system issues and that I should get emails now, as I still wasn’t receiving them. They also confirmed I paid for tirzepatide, said I was charged $89, the correct amount for semaglutide, for my 2nd charge and that it was on its way. I put in another request for a supervisor. I tried to screenshot my account and while my screen still said I was on the tirzepatide plan the prescription had been changed to reflect what they had actually shipped - semaglutide.

I spoke with the supervisor, Kaylie, on August 7th who also confirmed that I was charged for tirzepatide in July but was shipped Semaglutide instead. She told me that I would be refunded that $149 because I was given the wrong order, told that I should throw out the semaglutide order that was already shipped, and that my next order would be free of charge. Instead I was charged an additional $149 and there was no effort to refund the original order made in July.

I reached out today and the customer service agent said there was no record of my account, and in text they told me they meant I would be refunded $89. Even without the refunds and free shipment Kaylie promised, the charges they show on my account do not align with what I was actually charged. Based on their records I should have been charged $238 in total but $298 was taken from my account.

I filed a complaint with my bank, thebbb, and the ftc

Grub charged card that was NOT saved to my account

Going through my expense report today I see a Grubhub charge that I was confused about. It didn’t appear in my emails or in my purchases and it was on a card that I only used once while traveling for work. That card was NOT saved to my account but I did have 2 that others that were.

Grubhub informed me that they can charge any card that has even been used as payment at any time. They can’t give me a receipt. They wouldn’t refund that card and charge one that was actually saved to my account and said that they couldn’t refund me as there system wouldn’t allow it.

Everyone needs to not only cancel their subscription but request all of their data be deleted. This is so scary that they can charge you on a card NOT saved to their app, for any amount at any time and don’t even need to provide documentation .
