They take shots together and Bear says “To Sandy”.. You would think that Nikki would hear him because she’s standing right next to him, but her and Ian run off after taking their shots. I found that very odd.

Sarah is the farthest away from Bear, but she hears him and curiously asks him “why Sandy?”..

This shows that people pay attention to who they like. Sarah was extra attentive to anything Bear says because she likes him, but Nikki did not care or she has very bad hearing. This alone tells me that Nikki sees Bear as just a friend.

Even when she says “You’re the only person I can talk to about this stuff and you’re not a complete brick wall” she sounds a little disappointed while saying it. Maybe she likes certain things about Bear but doesn’t have any romantic interest. She most likely wishes “Ian” or another guy she is attracted has those attributes that Bear has.
