Just sold my most expensive item, by far, ever

Accepted a super fair offer on an item I put up ages ago priced high thinking I'd accept an offer like half the listed price, so this is way more, and way more than I thought anyone would buy it. Super exciting but also fully preparing for it to go wrong somehow.

Gonna film it before and as packing, and get a usps receipt if anyone has any other advice to make sure no issues (account looks normal too)

Free shipping is over RIP

Of course, with no announcement, free shipping is over. Idc that it's cheap, I care that they couldn't bother to give us notice. It sucks for sellers and buyers who could've capitalized on a last rush. My wallet isn't even happy bc I still want shit and now I have to pay more than I would've yesterday.

Why did the app stop saying the date you'd receive funds to your balance?

Under balance, when an item was delivered, it would update and say the date funds would deposit and then change to green when funds were deposited to your balance. Now, under balance, it only says two options shown in pic (paid vs paid after delivery). I miss seeing that items have both been delivered and how long until the sale is complete and I get my money. It's annoying to go into each individual sale and do the math to find it out. While I can see they were delivered under sold, no where does it say the date funds will be deposited. I think this was a poor update, giving sellers less info and going backwards in functionality.

How much do you partial refund?

How much do sellers typically refund if a partial refund is asked?

How much would you refund if there was a rip that needs to be fixed or the item can't be worn?

Is "active over a week ago" the longest shown?

Bought shoes 5 days ago and the seller hasn't shipped so Depop sent notice and I went to their page. Says "active over a week ago" so I'm asking if that's the longest they show? As in, could that mean they were last active a month ago? Or more but not long enough for account to be deactivated?

Feel like you should wait until after you wear it to list it

Saw this and thought it was kinda wild to list something and state you're going to wear it before you send it??? You can't say the condition will be "perfect" or it will be the same after you wear it. You can't guarantee that so what happens to the buyer? Why not wait until after prom, not list it 3 weeks before?

Should add ability to filter OUT

Searching for wedding guest dresses and it would be convenient to filter out the color white. It's nice they added you could select multiple, but can't select out.

I got so excited, I thought the stupid ~feature~ 🤮 was gone

I went to send offers to a couple recent likers and the "automatically send this offer" wasn't there (photo 1)! I was so happy I don't need to take that extra step to turn it off anymore (I do get buy now sales/full price sale from likers). Only to click on the most recent like and it's back (photo 2). Check more, it's def back. My dreams are shattered. The bold presumption of discount continues. Curse you Depop.

I bought a lot (like more than I ever had) and thought I'd make more sales, but it's been pretty slow. I reminded some offers that today is last day to get $1.99 shipping so maybe a sale will come from that.

Loved it, hope they do it again and expand from the tristate area, and hope other closets did well from it. Off to buy some heavy things before 6am. Last chance to find a nice ny/nj/ct closet to buy from and get $1.99 shipping!

I learned vinted is doing free shipping and have been getting a lot of ads of influencers selling items for $5. Vinted is clearly trying to grow in the us so wondered if this is a platform people are cross listing too? I'm currently in Poshmark and Depop mostly selling stuff from my closet. eBay has been around forever, but are there benefits/specific audiences on vinted and mercari that clothing would sell well? (Like Depop is great for trendy items/younger and Poshmark for brands/millennial+ typically)

What would you think (as a buyer or seller) is a good sales to reviews ratio for a seller? Like 30-40% is reasonable? Or lower/higher?

Some items you see that have been sold are shocking, but also orders with a single item they paid more for shipping than the actual item, like? Wouldn't that be an add on to a bundle? It's a fair price, it's not like you're getting a deal so price is worth it? Like I would never buy $5 SHEIN earrings alone, they would be bundled with something else bc shipping is more than the earrings.

I'm just shocked by what people buy sometimes, though what people sell is shocking too especially the price.

Is there still no fix for Instagram dimming photos when you upload them to post. I haven't posted in a while, and still, when uploading a photo to my feed from an iPhone, with "upload at highest quality" turned on, live off, and view hdr off, the photo gets darker. Is the only "solution" to screenshot or save the photos through a third party app? Can The photo sharing app still not correctly upload iPhone photos?
