Mom was diagnosed with stage three kidney disease. Should I tell my family?

I just found out that my mom was diagnosed with stage three kidney disease. She’s been heavily drinking for the past few years on and off. After a recent doctors visit, I pryed the information out of her that she was diagnosed with this. For reference stage five is kidney failure. She is currently living with me and my boyfriend as she has had issues holding down jobs. She insisted that I not tell my brothers as they are going through hard times as well, but I find this really hard to keep it to myself. To make matters worse, she advised she would quit drinking, but I heard her cracking up on a white claw at 6 AM this morning. I feel notifying my family would be another line of holding her accountable. It would also be nice to have more than myself checking on her. Should I tell my family or should I keep it a secret as she requested?

Toxic work environment and quitting

I’ve been working part-time as a cocktail server at a local bar to help save up for a new car. The job has had its many challenges. I have tried hard to get along with my coworkers and fit in, unfortunately, it is a very clicky environment. I finally worked my way in after six months, or so I thought… On top of that the hours are late - I work from 9 PM to 2:30 AM every weekend (on top of my regular job which is 6:30AM to 3 PM Monday through Friday.) Furthermore we’ve had like two separate medical events happen there in the past two months - with one person dying in our parking lot, so it’s been traumatic to say the least.

A month ago, I decided to put in my notice. It’s been too stressful, and the money is not worth it (about $1000 a month). My manager asked me to stay until the end of the month in order for her to find a new cocktail server. (Which she did I am so supposed to train her this weekend.) I agreed as I respect my manager, and she has been good to me. (she invites me to family dinners. She has given me the opportunity to continue making Jell-O shots so I can keep my Aflac insurance. Etc.) However, this past weekend I went there as a patron with my boyfriend and had an awful experience.

I got into a fight with one of my coworkers which I have had prior issues with, and I had mince words with my manager over her, reprimanding me over how my boyfriend was talking to another patron (he’s a chef and he was talking smack to another chef, no big deal, IYKYK.) it is not uncommon for people to be outspoken in this environment.

I no longer have the desire to return. Would it be wrong If I told my boss I no longer want to work there and cannot train the new hire? Or should I stick it out since it’s only two more days?

I do not want to have to work next to this girl this upcoming weekend. I rarely make selfish decisions. I am just tired. Let me know what you think.

I lost my ring on Arenas Street two weeks ago (the top peridot one). I am absolutely devastated as it was given to me by my mother. I’ve left my information with all the places I stopped in at that day, and someone gave me the idea to put this out on Reddit in case anyone has seen it. I will provide a generous reward if anyone finds it!

Any advice would be much appreciated. I have already retraced my steps 😢.
