Feeling extra tired today

I’m a sahm and my daughter is 4, I have been trying to get better at having a better routine with my daughter we brush teeth after breakfast then shortly after we do her bath then a little later lunch then we do her calendar last week I started making a calendar for her of things for me and her to do together during the week Monday through Friday and it gives her something to look forward to everyday she goes to the calendar and asks what are we doing today? I enjoy doing things with her, I do just like a calendar I write what month it is then I make boxes from Mon-Fri and write at least 3 things for the day for example one day I wrote play shopping, play blocks and do silly songs another day I wrote do workbook, make a fort and read and some days we do a craft or go to the library I just mix it up and this is the second week I have done the Calendar and Saturday and Sunday are just open plus I clean obviously within those days plus cooking everyday but I’m finding myself feeling extra tired today but I’m just pushing through the tiredness and doing the things on her calendar because she is looking forward to doing things with me but I really just want to lay on the couch and relax or take a small nap.

Dos your toddler still plays in their food?

My daughter is 4 and I don’t understand why she still plays in her food or she plays in her water. She was playing in her yogurt and applesauce and mixing it together then putting water in it and stirring it up and I immediately took it away and sometimes if she has ranch she will play in her ranch, put it all over her hands or she will put it on her face or lips and I immediately take it away or I will catch her playing in her water, she will take her water bottle and pour it in her play kitchen bowls, pots or pans and I have also caught her playing with her juice box putting it inside of her kitchen toys too and I don’t understand I thought at this age they grew out of that

Making money as a SAHM

This might be a rant I don’t really know what this is but I am a sahm of a 4 year old and it was not by choice I love my daughter to death but I was suppose to go back to my part time job when my daughter was like 2 months and my boyfriend (who works from home) said wait one more week and here we are 4 years later. This has caused a lot of arguments and every time I say I want to get a job or make money, my boyfriend says what do you need money for? the bills are paid, I’m the provider and want to take care of my family. He has given me money occasionally but it’s not consistent, I feel stuck, feel like a kid asking for money when I want or need something, I don’t like being financially dependent on him. Every time he asks me what’s wrong when I’m upset I don’t want to talk about it because I start yelling and getting upset and he says I will give you money when I get paid or you can earn money (by doing things I do around the house folding his laundry or cleaning) which is ridiculous and I know at some point I am not going to be able to deal with it anymore and throw in the towel because I didn’t ask for this.

Girl moms and brushing hair struggles

I am a sahm my daughter is 4 and it’s almost always a struggle for her to let me brush her hair. My daughter has curly hair and I try to brush her hair at least every other day, I braid her hair at night so it doesn’t get more tangled when she sleeps but by the time she needs to brush her hair she will say one of 2 things I don’t want to brush today I will do it tomorrow or I will wait til daddy gets home/i want daddy to hold my hand while you brush (dad works from home too) sometimes by the time dad gets home from doing errands or whatever, I’m making dinner or we’re doing something else and I forget and so does she. Then we never end up brushing her hair and sometimes this goes on for days and she refuses to brush her hair then next thing you know it’s been 4 days and complains it’s going to hurt but when I brush she either she doesn’t complain or say ow once or she might say ow once or twice. I have showed her how quick it can be if she brushes her hair every other day she will only have 3 sections to brush and she even enjoys brushing her hair after I have finished and loves seeing how long her hair is. If she waits longer than she I show/tell her there will be more sections and will take longer. It’s just getting the brushing done when it needs to get done,I have even given her something to do or a snack while she brushes or I will offer it when she is refusing and it works only sometimes. Please tell me I’m not the only one struggling to brush my daughter’s hair?

How long do you play with your kid?

I’m a stay at home mom and my daughter is 4 I love her to death and although I don’t play with her everyday like today for instance she played by herself this morning when she woke up we had lunch then I read her a couple books, we did a few freeze dances then I played Barbie’s with her in the bath so maybe 40 min total. It’s not the same thing everyday sometimes we play in the backyard, color and some days we do school work such as learning to write upper and lowercase letters, identifying letters, learning to write words, shapes etc. sometimes I also include her in chores like she likes to help me fold clothes or towels/rags likes to help dry dishes but there are also days where I just don’t feel like playing kid things. I rarely have adult conversations as it is and have no friends and I’m around a toddler all day everyday so playing kid things gets boring sometimes I try to give her enough attention but some days I feel like I didn’t do enough. Does any other moms feel like this or am I the only one?

Tired.

Sorry this is a long one. I am a stay at home mom not by choice I was working a part time job while I was 6 months pregnant and was supposed to to return back to work a couple months after I gave birth but my boyfriend who works from home said no wait another week and here we are 4 years later and I have been a stay at home mom since don’t get me wrong I have loved being with my daughter and being here for all of her firsts etc. it is just very lonely and depressing having no friends he won’t let me work anytime I have brought it up it’s always a fight he tells me all the bills are taken care of and there is no need for me to work but recently he said I can try and find an at home job but I’m tired of never having my own money and always having to ask feeling like a kid asking my mom for money and I have mentioned this before to him too and the conversation never goes anywhere I went as far as saying if you won’t let me work then I need \_\_ amount of money each month so I don’t have to ask if I need or want something that happened maybe twice but don’t get me wrong he has given me money in the past when he had money but now we’re struggling right now financially and have been for months and I told him if I had at least a part time job I could have helped in these times and he doesn’t say anything. But it’s does cause arguments sometimes saying he is the only responsible one who pays the bills and yells that he doesn’t have gas in his car to go here or there when I ask if he can take me and my daughter to the library but can take himself where he wants to go. He does take care of me, my needs, surprises me with things sometimes, takes me to get my nails done etc but I’m also tired of being the only one in this house who cleans my boyfriend will clean his room (I co sleep with my daughter and I can’t deal with his snoring it keeps me up) but as far as dishes, kitchen, floor, bathrooms, cleaning up trash or my daughters messes and his own messes around the house I am the only one who does it all including taking care of my daughter and her needs food, playing with, baths, hair etc. cooking dinner, I’m tired of being the only one doing it and his explanation why he won’t do the dishes is he doesn’t like the feeling when his hands are all wet and soapy and wrinkly yes he is a grown man I also take out the trash from the inside trash can and take it to the trash outside but he will take the big trash cans to the curb it’s a cycle and I’m always so tired of doing it myself. I’m Tired of sitting in the house almost everyday rarely having adult conversations and feeling lonely and sometimes get depressed, I love my daughter to death but I’m tired of playing the same things all the time I get bored, we read books sometimes, build forts, do puzzles, play in the backyard it all gets boring after a while of doing them on a daily bases and being the only one who mostly does things with her while my boyfriend just relaxes and offers me up to do something with my daughter after I’m already tired or don’t want to play anymore I’m just tired of all the repeated cycles thank you for letting me vent.

What shows or movies you grew up watching did you introduce to your kids?

My daughter is 4 I am 35 and she loves to watch Full house, she also loves The Wizard Of Oz and when she was 2 she wanted to dress up as Dorthy, I was the wicked witch and my boyfriend was the cowardly lion. She loves to watch The Big Comfy Couch she will watch it everyday, Dennis the Menace, It Takes Two, Matilda and her dad also just showed her the movie Beethoven and she liked it I just love seeing her enjoy the things I grew up watching as a kid. A lot of the kid shows they have now a days are not as good as when I was a kid.

Co-sleeping what do I do?

My daughter is 4 years old and she has co slept with me since she was 8 months old I have a bed on the floor in her room where she also has her own toddler bed. (My boyfriend snores and I don’t end up sleeping well when we’re in the same bed because of the snoring) She will fall asleep in my bed, I will put her in her own bed when she is asleep but will wake up like 4 hours later and climb right back in my bed and sometimes will sleep in dads room he has a boneless couch (it’s like a bed) next to his bed she sleeps in and sometimes she will sleep in there all night but most of the time she will wake up in the middle of the night and climb in my bed in her room. I thought about getting her a softer bed because she has the same bed we used in her crib when she was a baby (waterproof bed) and it makes noise when she moves and my bed is a soft bed. Does anyone have any advice on how to help her sleep in her own bed?

How are us mommy’s doing parenting on your period?

I know this might be a weird post but I have a 4 year old and the first 2 days of my period are hard. I have cramps in my back, stomach and my left leg and don’t feel like really doing anything I take ibuprofen but I still just feel yucky. Sometimes I feel bad I can’t do a lot with my daughter or around the house because I’m not feeling good I hope I’m not the only one.
