Baby fell from bed

I don't even know what to write. My baby fell from the bed today. She woke up around 3'0 clock in the night to feed. I breastfeed her in the lying position at night. Usually I put her on the left side of the bed since the bed is placed against the wall on that side but I put her on the right side so that I could breastfeed her from right side. After feeding she fell asleep. We have a tent type mosquito net that can be strapped to the bed. I put a pillow on her right side so she wouldn't fall even if she rolls. Usually I am very aware of her even when I am asleep but this time I was really tired and didn't realise when she slid down the bed past the pillow I placed and fell through the mosquito net onto the floor. I woke up to her loud screaming and I can't even describe the panic I felt seeing her on the floor. Took her to the ER right away. She is out okay, thankfully, no bleeding, swelling, no signs of concussion, vomiting or change in pupils. She is active and feeding well.

I am distressed and the guilt is eating me alive because this was avoidable. Every appointment, her paediatrician specifically tells to not leave her unattended on the bed since he sees lots of cases in the ER everyday. We had finally ordered bed rails but they haven't reached yet so I thought I managed this far I can manage till it arrives. What broke me was how I was treated by the other people. My BIL asked me "can't you take care of the baby properly?". He got mad at my husband too. I have all this pain and anxiety inside and I just want to let it out.

Incinerator for diaper disposal

Does anybody here have an incinerator at home for burning diapers? I live in a rural area and no waste collection team take pickup from our area. Usually we burn them but it's really difficult during rainy days. I have tried the gel in salt method but it's not suitable for all diapers. We are thinking about installing an incinerator. I contacted a few sellers and they are quoting 19000 and above stainless steel incinerators with smoke pipe and 7000 and above for open furnace type.

If anybody has an incinerator or furnace at home please tell me about your experience. How useful it is? And how much did you pay for it?

Feeling stuck postpartum

I have a 5 month old baby. While I am extremely grateful for the life I have now, I am literally lost and feeling stuck. I was a psc aspirant when I got married and I cracked the first exam I studied for and got into the main list. But my rank was not as good as I expected and nobody has been appointed from that list even though it's been an year so my chances of getting that job is very low. Before having the baby I could study for however long I wanted but things are different now. I see all of my friends doing well in their careers, talking about their respective jobs and it's eating me away. I feel like I am wasting my life and my time.

I really don't know what to do. My husband is saying that I should prepare for ssc exams instead of psc but I don't know whether I will get enough time to prepare for highly competitive exams at this point.I don't know whether I should study further or go for some data analysis or AI courses and find a job in a private sector.I desperately need opinions and suggestions from people who have gone through similar situations.

Please tell me this is going to get better

Ever since my baby turned two and half months old, she has been a good sleeper. She wasn't a big fan of daytime naps but slept good at night. 5-6 hour stretches at a time and just one MOTN feed. She is 4 and a half month old now and everything is kinda going downhill. For the past one week our nights are like this, she will fall asleep anywhere between 10.30-11.30pm , I will transfer her to bed and we will sleep(we co-sleep). After two hours she will start fussing in her sleep and will eventually start crying. Earlier I could just pat her back and she would go to sleep but now once she starts fussing and crying nothing works. Rocking, singing, swaying, nothing can't console her only boob works.

My mom says she is growing up so she may be hungrier but I know she isn't hungry because as soon as she starts to feed she falls asleep so it's for comfort. She has also started rolling on her own all the time ( she first rolled at 2 months and didn't do it again until 4 months). Miss ma'am wants to roll over in her sleep too now. And she cries for that too, she lift her legs and thump them on the bed, she also kick and hit me in the process and rolls over in her sleep and then she will cry. This is happening every two hours. I haven't slept properly in a week, it feels like we are in the newborn trenches all over again.

On top of it all,she refuses her daytime naps like they are her enemy. Only contact naps and wake up the moment she touches the bed. Sometimes she will sleep on the bed and I will feel relieved but in 5 minutes she wakes up crying. The lack of sleep is starting to affect my mood too. Sometimes I feel frustrated then I feel guilty for feeling so because she is just a baby who needs her momma.

Anxious about supply dipping

I am a first time mom to a 3 and half month old baby. I had low milk supply after delivery and was combo feeding for the first two weeks, eventually my supply picked up and started exclusively breastfeeding since my baby was 3 weeks old. For the first month, she used to wake up every hour in the night to feed and by the second month she started sleeping 2-3 hours between each feed. But ever since she turned 2 and half month old she has started sleeping longer stretches in the night. I am talking 5-6 hour stretches. She will take her last feed of the night around 10-11 PM and will only wakeup around 4-5AM in the morning for a feed and will again sleep till 7.30-8AM. Since I am directly nursing I don't pump milk. I have used a pump only in the earlier days when I was trying to increase my supply. But now I am anxious that my supply is going to dip because of the longer night stretches. She still nurses every 11/2-3 hours during daytime. She also had a cluster feeding phase around 3 months which lasted a few days. I think I make enough for her now but worried about supply dipping. I need some positive stories/reassurance/suggestions.

Overnight feeding and dip in supply

Hi all, my baby is currently 11 weeks old and ebf. I had low milk supply after delivery and baby lost so much weight and even had to be admitted in NICU. For the first two weeks I combo fed her, breastfeeding for 20 minutes and then top up with formula. Around the third week my milk finally started coming in. My daughter was also cluster feeding around that time which helped with the milk production. Since then I have been exclusively breastfeeding. Earlier she used to wake up every 2-3 hr in the night for feed. If she went longer than 3 hours my breasts would get really hard and leak through my dress but she has started to sleep longer stretches in the night since last two weeks. She would sleep for 5-6 hours and wake up only once for feed. She goes to bed around 10'O clock and only wake up at 4'O clock in the morning for a feed and will again sleep until 7'O clock in the morning. I am glad she is sleeping but I am kind of worried my supply is going to dip. I have read that feeding between 1am and 6am is important to keep supply up. Has anybody else had a same situation? Should I be worried?

TLDR: Baby started sleeping for 5-6 hours in the night and I am worried my supply is going to dip. Need suggestions and advices.

I am not sure if this post belong here but I really need help. I am a first time mom, currently 10 weeks postpartum. Ever since I got pregnant, I have been looking at maternity/ feeding wear brands and actually I don't like any of them. All of them have the same pattern, same style dresses with puffy pleats or frills on the yolk and I hate them. I am already chubby and they make me look even more fat. I need suggestions for feeding wear brands that actually make stylish feeding dresses. If anybody know any stores or brands please drop their names.
