Finished the release trailer for our tree chopping incremental

Hey everyone! We're a 3 person team from Korea and we've been working on LumberBoy for about 7 months now.

It's a cozy incremental about chopping trees. You sell the wood to the sawmill and use the money for upgrades. At the start you're slowly hacking away at one tree, but later on you're clearing big chunks of the forest with shockwaves and stuff.

We just finished the release trailer and the game is coming out in January 2027.

There's a free demo on Steam if you want to try it. It's about 40 min to an hour long with 3 forests and 34 upgrades. Works with controller and on Steam Deck too. We're also going to be in Next Fest this month.

Any feedback is welcome, thanks for watching!

3 months of progress on our lumberjack game - Past vs Present

We used to have bunny hunting in the game lol. It was cute but it didn't really fit, so we cut it and went all in on the chopping.

Since then we mostly worked on the visuals, making chopping feel better, and adding new kinds of trees.

How does it look compared to before?

Our game's first trailer is finally done!

Hi everyone, we’ve just finished the first trailer for our debut demo!

Our game is an incremental game focused on logging. You chop down various trees in the forest, deliver them to the sawmill to earn money, and upgrade your character to tackle even more unique and stronger trees.

We would love to hear your thoughts and feedback on the trailer!

Used Perlin noise to generate a forest biome. Does the map look natural?

We’re currently working on a 2D isometric pixel art game. We used Perlin noise for the map generation to give it a random yet natural feel, and tried our best to blend the water, sand, and dirt tiles nicely. We also added some decorative elements like grass and flowers.

Does the map look natural enough to you? Or is there anything we could improve? We'd love to hear your feedback!
