I was just curious if anyone would give me input on my signing?
For context, I start my ASL 1 college course in a week, so I wanted to learn the alphabet, some numbers, and a few other things like greetings beforehand. I started practicing on Friday and this is where I am now.
However, because I don't have a teacher yet, I want to make sure I'm not making too many mistakes when signing since I have no one to correct me. I know it's really slow, and I hesitate when transitioning sometimes, and its overall sloppy. Is there anything I need to fix badly/am I doing anything terribly wrong?
What I tried to do was the full alphabet, 1-20, following by Hi my name is Matthew. I hope it's almost clear what I was doing, very nervous when trying to take a video and wasn't sure how well it came out.
Thank you for any feedback!
I start my elementary ASL 1 college course in 9 days
What should I expect? I started learning the alphabet and numbers yesterday just to get a small start, but otherwise I know nothing. I'm very excited to learn though, and I want to take it for a few semesters at least, if not get a minor in it!
Ear drops feel "stuck" in ear, even 4 hours later and they are dampening hearing a lot
Male, 25, 210 pounds, currently using ciprofloxacin dexamethasone for a ear infection in my right ear.
I started using the drops earlier today around 9 am. Even now, at 1, it feels like they have never drained out of my ear and I can barely hear out of the ear now. Its not painful, but it's such an uncomfortable feeling. Is there anything I can do to get the drops out? I've laid on that side practically the whole time sense and have tried massaging/pulling the outside of the ear canal to no avail.

What's everyone's fall semester looking like?
Would post in the college subreddit, but they take down so many posts so I'm posting here even though it's not a rant.
But what's everyone's semester looking like? For mine, I'll have;
• American sign language 1
• Programming for engineering + lab
• Introduction to modern physics (basically college physics 3, introduces special relativity and talks about atoms among other things)
• Mathematical methods for physics (basically a consolidation of all the math I've learned so far but directed at physics, from calc 1-3, ODE, linear algebra, etc)
• Intermediate physics lab
• And a 1 credit physics seminar
17 credit hours total, so full schedule but not overfilled. Mondays and Wednesdays are pretty short with Tuesdays and Thursdays being long. Looking forward to getting it done.
Is anyone else both excited for the new semester to start but also dreading it?
I love my classes, I enjoy learning and I'm always excited to being 1 step closer to being done with school. However, I have to work full-time overnight while also having a full time class schedule (17 credit hours this semester). It is incredibly exhausting, and I dread being that exhausted again. I always have mixed feelings before the semester starts.
Paid my semester balance and got my parking pass (for the year).
Transfering in from stark State after graduating last semester and it's starting to feel very real. I'm very excited to start my classes! Hope everyone has a great semester!
The new Facebook update sucks. For posts with images, the body/text now appears below the comment/like toolbar, similar to how you could preview comments before.

Just a small milestone in my physics journey, but it's still so satisfying
High distinction was for my 4.0, also got a associates of science in math
My freighter's reactor room
My freighter's reactor room, complete with 18 reactors and the resident korvax scientist who is conducting tons of research in their lab. There is also a main reactor that is still being actively researched, but shows promise and has the potential to power the entire freighter by itself, though it is still heavily classified.
I'm finally not a college dropout
I dropped out in fall 2019 due to personal issues, mostly depression. I've hated myself since then, I was going to school for chemical engineering but I just wasn't happy. Along with other personal things going on with my life and just not liking the university I was at, I dropped out right before spring of 2020 (thankfully).
Until fall 2024, I had nightmares constantly of failing exams, doing terrible in school, etc. My family constantly asked when I was going back to school, and I was so ashamed. After talking to a friend in spring of 2024, I decided to go back to school at a community college and it was the best decision I could've made. I've made a few friends and a few professional connections related to my degree and I couldn't be happier. I'll be graduating next Sunday with a 4.0 with an associates in physics, mathematics, and a general associates degree. If I can do it, anyone can do it.
No idea where Google AI even pulled this from, never looked up or watch any tsunami documentary
