Are 100 pointers where they need to be?

By their own admission people generally found cards pointed 40 or less to be playable while 50 point was acceptable for best in role and after that if you gravitated to playing more than 50 you jumped straight to slotting 100 point cards.

So I find it odd they pushed so many cards between 51 and 99 up to 100 or down to 40, maybe 50.

I don't know enough about the game but it seems like there should be enough of a design space to give people who like to play 100 point cards more interesting deck building choices by pointing specific cards between 88 and 97 points because they don't fulfill the power of the cards deserving of being 100 points.

What am I not understanding here?

Reports about women gaining more jobs than men is misunderstood

The biggest factor to keep in mind is that men are getting less payroll jobs which is what many of these reports are about.

What doesn't count as payroll employment? For starters, joining the military doesn't count.

After over a decade of serious recruitment issues the military is seeing a huge gains in exceeding their recruitment goals.

https://www.military.net/military-recruitment-surges/

Gig work also doesn't count as payroll jobs and men exceedingly overrepresent these jobs.

Lastly women are more likely to hold down multiple jobs because they usually want more flexible schedules. But make no mistake here. Women wouldn't take on these jobs if one provided a living wage and they don't want the stress caused by juggling very inconsistent hours.

There are factors at play here where people are being coerced into undesirable jobs.

How does Moergo's approach to software compare to Dygma?

I've been browsing a lot of reviews for keyboards and I have narrowed down my choices between these 2 companies.

I have read a lot of glowing reviews in Dygma software offering the best in customization for power users and the most intuitive interface for less tech savvy people but discussion on moergo software is in short supply.

How do you feel about moergo software?

If you have both, what have missed in one company's software over another?

What is Avatar Fighters doing that makes Nightmare Korra's teleport not frustrating and actually fun to engage with?

It has been argued in the past you can't incorporate teleports with the speed of MK games into games with back to block because it would be too trivial to overcome defense.

When netherrealm ported Scorpion to Injustice this cemented this conjecture as fact because while Scorpion had a bunch of broken tools, that also included his teleport mechanics.

But Avatar Fighters has come out with Zoomer Korra and she's basically fine.

The amount of times I've seen characters successfully defend her attacks while repositioning herself 3 times in a split second has not resulted in blow ups in their defense.

So what did the team that made the Avatar fighting game right to make very fast teleports no an issue in a back to block dependent game?

Linus Tech Tips creates socks with heavy amount of synthetics that tackles sustainability in a different way

https://youtu.be/CjIwXfw8ffU?si=G6iDybOUhiCq6FvN&t=449

There is a lot more in that video but for the purposes of this discussion the socks his team made is:

33% Polyester

30% Merino Wool

18% Nylon

13% Acrylic

6% Spandex

After prototyping sock design over six years they settled on this composition to maximize durability and other features disclosed in the video.

They're confident enough in their design that they offer a limited lifetime warranty such that you get one free replacement sock at any time whether if you find a manufacture defect early on or it simply crumbles through normal wear and tear for the time elapsed.

It remains to be seen how they quantify normal wear and tear but in the realm of fashion it is novel to me to offer an item that will stay out of a landfill a decade longer than other items with a high amount of synthetic materials.

It's not a new concept in but I only recall darn tough offering anything remotely similar to a lifetime warranty and they offer mostly natural fibers.

Companies that offer heavily synthetic products in fashion usually emphasize on replacing them repeatedly instead of designing them to last and the rare cases that do don't offer a lifetime warranty to backup their claims.

Any guesses as to what flashing purple means?

So color flashes indicate certain property states:

Red - The first hit you take or you're performing an unblockable attack.

Green - You have armor active

I have heard an explanation for blue and white before but I can't remember what they mean.

Purple is brand new in the zaheer trailer and what's odd is that sometimes Zaheer flashes purple when he performs a move and other times zaheer makes the opponent flash purple while hitting them in the middle of a combo.

So purple has 2 states but I wonder what either of them are.

EU Parliament Plenary Debate on Stop Killing Games Initiative

MEPs debated whether EU consumer protection rules should address cases where video games bought or licensed by players become unplayable after publishers shut down servers, end online support, or remotely disable access. Speakers discussed digital ownership, the difference between buying a game and licensing access, the future of the EU video game industry, intellectual property, piracy risks, cultural preservation, right to repair, planned obsolescence, minors, loot boxes and the upcoming Digital Fairness Act.

The initiative gathered nearly 1.3 million validated statements of support from EU citizens and reached the required thresholds in 24 Member States, making it one of the successful European Citizens’ Initiatives to reach the EU institutions. The debate followed the joint European Parliament committee hearing of 16 April 2026 and focused on whether existing EU law is enough, or whether new rules are needed to ensure games remain playable after the end of their commercial life.

The European Commission said it is examining the initiative, including how existing rules apply and whether further clarification or action is needed. The Commission said it would finalize its reply in the form of a communication before the summer.

This full debate includes interventions from the European Commission and Members of the European Parliament from several political groups, with arguments both in favour of stronger consumer safeguards and in favour of avoiding disproportionate burdens on developers and publishers, especially smaller studios. Speakers also addressed the importance of video games as part of Europe’s digital culture and heritage.

Stop Killing Games, officially registered as the European Citizens’ Initiative “Stop destroying videogames”, has been closely associated online with Ross Scott and Accursed Farms ‪@Accursed_Farms‬ although Ross Scott did not speak in this plenary debate.

This is the full European Parliament debate for viewers following EU digital policy, consumer rights, gaming regulation, game preservation, digital ownership, the Digital Fairness Act, right to repair, planned obsolescence, and the future of video games in Europe.

Brings in other players in his entourage to give Daigo last minute tips on how he plays.

Practiced against Akumas so much he hasn't learned about Alex yet.

Kept on rethinking his practice regime to the point he had a grab bag of players randomly play against him so he can condition himself to be more adaptable instead of relying on understanding a player's specific biases.
