DISCLAIMER
I did, in fact, not build IRL but I've posted the well-ordered Studio IO file on Rebrickable (free) if anyone wants to poke around and/or grab the parts list.
The white epaulette piece (the whiskers!) is unfortunately a bit rare these days.
Have fun and stay safe out there!
Borderline not really r/Minilego content but I couldn't help attempting a rival castle faction in the spirit of castle the build challenge, both 18 pieces each.
You come at the King you better not miss!
- Burger King (probably)
Sorry again everybody, I nuked the original post because it was only 2 hrs old and I really wanted to swap 2 piece colors.
Someday I will learn the art of waiting a few hours / days before posting (...I tell myself for the 4th month in a row...).
Might be exactly 18 if you don't count the separate cheese slope island.
Yeah the flag is ginormous for the scale but I like it, ok?
(buildable - yeah I could use 79987 to gain back another piece but 79987 doesn't come in black)
This came out better than I thought it would!
Smash that like button (I guess?) over on the IDEAS site.
I might have to make instructions for this one, but I need to check the IRL build first.
...this sign 2.0 version is better (I think) for both overall "legibility" and for each individual letter having it's own discrete representation.
The devil is in the details, plus 9 letters uses up 41% of the build allowance!
(Sorry u/Vondrr, plz disregard OG post as an entry)
Maybe more of a landmark than a monument, but hopefully the title hints are enough to fill in the blanks!
I am apparently compelled to always create full blown mini-scenes so I gotta count the 4 trans-clear + 2 base pieces towards the 21 total part allowance.
Here's 3 dueling spaceships for the price of 1 (at the sacrifice of detailing...) from the remaining 15 pieces!
Small and round is hard but I wanted to represent all the balloon color!
I'd rather post in this sub than the BL gallery!
Best I could muster for a real life build based on the render submission entry (plus bonus micro edition again).
Flower part in the render is better, but I don't have it (nor the large single piece 4 x 6 oval base).
BL usually does a mini-scale challenge for each Bricklink Designer Program (BDP) wave.
If you're selected as a winner you receive the set you mini'd.
Series 8 goes on pre-order in less than a month, so it seems late if they are planning on doing a Series 8 challenge?
I was trying to piece together the usual timeline from the Series 7 challenge. The mini-design submission window was only 9 days, but it was before set pre-orders went live.
ETA: So maybe this is a PSA to say be on the look-out for a Series 8 challenge announcement?
Must... go... smaller....
