Gemini recommends these modifications to my car wash routine

So I've been talking to Gemini a lot about my car maintenance routine. Needed a non-AI perspective on this.

I have a deep blue/black SUV. Uncoated. I wash it every 10 days using a pressure washer and Gyeon Bathe. Follow that by either Koch Chemie Protector Wax (spray on,rinse off) or Carpro Ech2o as drying aid. Alternate between these two.

I drive in an environment thats very dusty and there's little need of hydrophobicity. Gemini recommends :

  1. Replace Carpro Ech2o with Koch Chemie Finish Spray Exterior (FSE). Anti static properties better repel dust.

  2. Replace KC protector wax with Gyeon Wet Coat. More glossy finish.

  3. Prepare a hybrid Drying Aid. Ech2o(30ml) + FSE(150ml) + distilled water(320ml) for a 500ml solution. Now this I've never heard of. Gemini wants to combine the gloss and slickness of Ech2o with the anti static dust repellent properties of FSE

  4. Skip using PW or Wet Coat altogether. Stick to using drying aid only after every wash. Decontaminate after every 6 to 8 months (Iron Remover followed by scrubbing the car with shampoo using a Clay Mitt or Clay Pad --- is this low effort DIY decontamination routine even effective?)

Maybe i should stick with my current routine and stop talking to Gemini altogether. What do you guys think? Any insights from more experienced detailers will be much appreciated.

[Mido 8 One Crown] Green Dial. Its here and its delightful !

This is the Mido Multifort 8 One Crown. The dial color is Green/Petrol/Turquoise. Hard to pin it down. It comes with a rubber strap in matching color. Got a bracelet as an extra.

There's not much out there on the internet about this watch. No popular reviewers have looked at it. So I'm very grateful to reddit for helping me find this piece. I put it next to PRX and to me it looked better. More elegant. The most noticable aspect is the AR coating on both sides of the sapphire crystal. The colors and details are so clear and legible, theres hardly any glare. Quite a few times it seemed like there's no glass at all. I think its under appreciated how important quality AR coating is to the overall look of the watch. Other than lack of micro adjustment, cant really find a fault. I'm sure I'm just biased 😉

[Choosing color] New buy color choice conundrum

Finally decided on the Mido Multifort 8 One Crown as my new watch, no small thanks to all who shared their views on my previous post. Thank you.

Now I'm torn between these two color options

  1. The "green" is more forest green/blue green/ turquoise kind of shade. I dont know how to describe it. I've only seen videos and photographs. It comes with a matching rubber strap. I will get the bracelet as an add on if i buy this.

  2. The black one is the safer choice. Though i dont need to be too conservative as i dont work in an office/formal setting. Could use a bit of color. My daily beater is a Tissot chrono in black dial + bracelet that I'm looking to replace. This Mido looks very different from it but i would be repeating the color palette. This comes with a bracelet. Will also get the black rubber strap if i buy this.

I'm leaning towards the green right now. Wear it with the rubber strap daily and put on the bracelet for evenings if i need. This watch has a quick release. Will this color look too strange to be worn daily? (Think jeans + shirt/collar tshirt + sneakers/boots). If it were a traditional dark blue, would have got it without a doubt.

1200$ sports watch. Hard to pick one. 🤔

I know i would like an integrated sports watch, but cant pick one. I live in India so there is no way for me to actually handle or even look at these watches. I have to order one based purely on what i have learned on the internet. So help out a naive first timer if you have experience with any of these watches.

My budget is $1000, which i already have stretched to $1200 because of, well, the Indian Rupee tanking like torpedoed subs.

Narrowed down to these 3 (not in any order).

  1. MAEN MANHATTAN 37

  2. MIDO MULTIFORT 8 ONE CROWN

  3. CHRISTOPHER WARD THE TWELVE (?)

These are around the $1200 mark. The CW12 is in rubber strap though. The one with steel bracelet goes for $1500. I can force myself to pay that much but i dont want to. Because then one keeps laddering up and before you know it we are buying APs and VCs :)

I'm not a collector of watches. Might get a Diver/Field watch next. That is it. Will wear these two in rotation till they fall apart.

What do you guys suggest i get based on

  1. Movement Reliability + parts quality

  2. Looks and finishing

  3. Not overpaying. Some semblance of VFM.

  4. Least chance of wondering "what if.." later

I dont care about brand value. Nobody in town knows about any of these brands. I'd have to get Rolex/Omega to get noticed. This is just for me.
