Looking for recommendations for top divorce attorneys for King County / Seattle proper area, specifically high conflict case involving DV, both parties HNW. It will be a very aggressive fight and looking for a top attorney who is well versed in handling complex cases and can really fight for their client.
I moved to a new apartment and lately my Maltese only wants to hide under the furniture. Like hiding under my couch, under the bed. We have kept his bed, but he rarely sleeps on it. Sometimes he sits on the sofa, but it is very rare. His normal behavior was jumping on the bed and couch to sleep.
I am worried that dust will affect him if he is hiding under furniture, and sometimes he does start coughing. How to make him more settled into the new place and is there any concern I should be worried about if he continues to hide?
Often times I have trouble finding him, as he is very good at hiding.
We are moving tomorrow and our mover that we booked via TaskRabbit cancelled on us last minute within 24 hrs of the actual move.
After the mover cancelled on us, we have rented our own UHaul for the day. But need help for moving few heavy furniture.
The details:
- Moving from Pioneer Square to next to Space Needle (~1.5miles)
- Both buildings have elevators and units in both buildings next to elevator
- Need help on these 4 items loading and unloading: mattress, standing desk, 58” TV, couch (rest of boxes my bf and I can lift ourselves)
Anyone know of any local movers/labor that I can try, would be great! I think it’ll take ~1.5hrs for the 4 items given the short distance but lot of local movers have some minimum 3hr distance, willing to pay cash too
Thanks in advance!
Can someone please tell me how many credits it costs for a Barry’s class in Seattle location?
Is the credits fixed or does it vary based on peak vs non peak times?
Completely hate the stack and culture of J2. It is pretty OE compatible but I feel I am set up for failure. Barely any onboarding plan, people write AI responses in slack, no review of code (just blind approval or feed the code to Claude and paste Claude’s comments). Implementing the project I was given based on the design doc, but the design had flawed assumptions and my entire implementation is a mess, nobody cares to help fix it aside from my onboarding buddy helping out.
I don’t feel any team culture and find that everyone is too busy and doesn’t care enough about new hires, but the manager wants my deliverables to be completed and doesn’t seem to be understanding that the person who wrote the project designed it with bad assumptions in the first place.
Want to leave this company after 4 months, but I feel I am not giving it a chance
I want to get my A License and looking for recommendations for where to go, have started doing initial research.
Sharing my non negotiable requirements:
- Place where there are jumps organized everyday, and high likelihood to be able to complete 1-3 jumps per day (weather permitting)
- Will not rent a car during the stay, so ideally the DZ has some onsite accommodation so that I can stay at the DZ itself
- Quality instructors and friendly environment where I can learn from others, load organizers or experienced jumpers that can give advice on jumps
Preferred:
- Prefer if there is a wind tunnel nearby so that I can get extra practice
- Proximity preference for US west coast or midwest, but am open to anywhere even non US DZs if they offer a better experience
My plan is to go for a 7-10 days or so for the first half of the training, then within two months go back for another 7-10 days to complete the program. Ideally jumping majority of days, doing 1 or 2 jumps per day. Breaking it up into 2 parts, so based on how many levels I need to repeat in the beginning, can adjust and stay longer when I come for the second part. I am open to the A license in a week program, but was hesitant as I heard mixed reviews and that it may feel too rushed.
I will plan to complete it this summer, start the first part as early as July, then complete as soon as September so that there is not much gap between jumps so I don’t forget anything (in case it affects weather of the DZ being recommended). Thanks in advance!
Timeline as below
May 24: Submitted I-130, I-765, and I-485
May 26: Received notification that it was delivered to Elgin lockbox
May 29: Payment was taken
How soon to get the receipt notice in the mail after payment is taken, and do we get any electronic receipt too (either via email or text)? We need the receipt for AOS before my partner reaches 6 months on B1/B2 otherwise he will be out of status.
How to get over the difficulty when starting out? Context switching is too draining for me, within each J I am context switching between projects and now it’s doubled but the mental effort is compounding.
In one J, I am ramping up to a new service/architecture and in the other I am ramping up to new programming language, new services, new architecture, new infrastructure, new tooling. Luckily Claude and AI tools are very helpful to speed up actual development, but both the Js are heavily knowledge and understanding based in order to do my work - I can’t just have Claude spit out PRs, I need to write architecture docs and understand them in order to justify it to more senior engineers. When I don’t know something or need more time, I feel dumb and incompetent if I can’t provide an answer or provide inaccurate information.
I am well respected in both Js as someone who works hard and has a good fundamental, but I am scared it is catching up to me. Some days I feel like I can’t do it. I used to find satisfaction in the problem solving of SWE work but I dread waking up in the morning and can’t fall asleep. Does it get better?
My Maltese is 6 years old and he weighs 12lb or 5.5kg. At the dog park and meeting other Maltese, he is considerably larger than other Maltese. I have not found a purebred Maltese bigger than him.
Does anyone else have a purebred Maltese that is larger bone structure and weighs more? He is not overweight, the vet has said that around 5kg more or less is healthy for him.
We are looking to get married ASAP in SF. Specifically we are eloping and don’t have any formal ceremony, but after we get the marriage license we need someone to “officiate the civil ceremony” and once that’s done we ourselves can bring the license back to the County Clerk office.
Specifically we would prefer Marin County (Marin County Civil Center is where we return the license to) but open to meet someplace in middle that can be convenient.
Please help us out! We are traveling to do this and don’t have any friends who can be ordained for a day to help out.
Forgot to add the date: Monday, May 4th!
