Nipple piercing pain - truth or a myth?

Hey guys. Before i got my nipples pierced i was really nervous, because most people say they are really painful. When the needle went through i basically didn't feel anything and i was surprised. My piercer told me she knew it wouldn't be bad at all, because often the pain is linked to:

  1. How sensitive your nipples are

  2. How big they are

  3. How thick/ dense (?) the tissue is

Based on these factors you can kinda tell if it's gonna be painful or not. What do you think, how accurate is this? Ofc it's not a 1000% thing, but for me it worked.

I found my glass cup shattered in the middle of our kitchen when no one was around

Hey guys, this story happened like 3 years ago, and to this day no one from my family can explain it.

I was upstairs in my room, so was my brother (i could hear him gaming). Suddenly i heard glass breaking in the kitchen. I thought my mom dropped something while washing the dishes. A few minutes later i came down to find my cup in the middle of the room, shattered. I went down to our basement where my parents and sister were watching a movie, and i asked who broke it and why didn't they clean it up.

They had no idea what i was talking about. They also heard it breaking, they thought it was me or my brother. We went to the kitchen to clean it up but it didn't make sense. We have our glasses set out on a tray next to the wall in a corner on the counter. The tray has lifted edges, so if something was to tip over and roll, it would get caught. Also, there was nothing fallen on the tray. All the other glasses were perfectly fine but mine, which used to be in the center of the tray, surrounded by other glasses, which sat exactly the way they were left.

The whole time my brother was upstairs with me. My parents and sister were in the basement the whole time. No one was on that floor when this happened. By the time i heard the glass break, the floor was empty for at least an hour beforehand. To this day, we have no logical explanation.

BPD + queerness + "distinct looks"

Hey everyone. I recently found a psychiatric document about BPD. It was honestly very interesting (i would link it but it wasn't in english), i learnt a lot from it, but there was this one part that made me think. It said people with BPD often have an unstable image of themselves, and this can affect their sexuality and/ or gender too. It also said that many people with this diagnosis tend to have piercings, tattoos, colorful hair and SH scars. It wasn't meant in a negative way, i was just surprised because it felt really personal :D i love piercings (i have 20) and have self inflicted scars, and the queer part also resonated with me. I also go to group therapy for pwBPD, and there i can see that many of us do fit the description :p

I was just wondering, what could be the cause? Do we just unknowingly associate with the look because others in the community had it? Or because our brain works differently we are not afraid of standing out? Or does it help with our shifting sense of self? Or because we often have alternative values? And about the queerness: did being LGBT affect us that it helped BPD to form?

I know everyone has different reasons, and of course not every single person fits this description. I just found it really interesting and wanna hear your thoughts :D i hope this post isn't seen as stereotyping or hurtful in any way.

Older guy becomes obsessed with girl battling cancer

When i was younger (2010's) we had a TV channel where they showed only crime related shows and a case stuck with me. The story is: a young girl got cancer and she started going to a support group where she met an older man. The man became obsessed with her, sending her lots of cards and gifts to her house. Police ended up arresting him, that's when they found out that the man built her a soundproof bunker with a shrine in it, where he wanted to keep her after abduction.

I tried searching on google but it only showed a case from 2022, and i watched the show in the 2010s. Any help is appreciated!
