apologies if this sounds overly critical, as that is not my intention. but i am genuinely curious as to why the sonic cab even exists. i know arcade1up had merged with / became a subsidiary of basic fun entertainment. and i am glad a1up is restructuring to grow and continue to innovate. this is a far better fate than the alternative.
soon they will be rereleasing larger-form supreme cabinets they’ve been able to retain licensing for, and that’s great! sega’s outrun supreme looks good! and arcade1up always puts out new pac-man variations every few years, that’s the nature of the business. i get it.
they also wanted to show off something new. i imagine the brainstorming process behind the sonic cab was they wanted to release something for all age groups. or something you can plop the kids in front of and keep them entertained while the adults play golden tee.
but the game selection is sonic 1,2,3D blast, and dr. robotnik’s mean bean machine? that’s it? a whole cabinet dedicated to 4 genesis games? what is the big sell for this cabinet? where is the ‘arcade’ game for the arcade?
no sonic 3, no sonic & knuckles, no 3-player segasonic isometric trackball arcade game? they really couldn’t get anything else? flicky? no? what are we even doing here?
i get that they wanted to release something different, i understand that — but on the other hand, i do not see the motivation to buy/sell/produce this when all of these games have been readily available in every sega genesis collection on every single platform since the ps2.

so, in terms of end of service there is a greater public relations issue here. sony and microsoft are just getting hammered in the press for their decisions lately — apparently nintendo wants some of that heat now too.
it’s just a bad look giving the player base 80 days notice before shutting the lights off. there are paying, and non-paying players alike, who should have been given at least 1 year prior notice. give us time to shore up. make it known, so your fans don’t get blindsided and feel betrayed. but instead, nintendo continued to happily take their money, (an estimated $380K per month!) then quietly snuck in their end terms of service in an update under the false pretense of “maintenance.” no one at nintendo said a word of this, but it was quietly being planned!
this is a shady business practice, and some people will not take well to it. i personally am not taking it well, i am angry as hell over it. i intend to stop purchasing anything nintendo related after 9/30/26 ever again. some will chose to protest, some will boycott — and some will make change dot org petitions. i signed it. i shared it.
i don’t expect it to change anything. but at the same time that’s my only recourse. and i will not just move on to mario kart world. if they wanted us to play world then they shouldn’t have removed the competitive racing aspect from the competitive racing game. if you like the game good for you but it’s right back to 8 deluxe for me.
highest score was 79,623. my player level is 256. wish i could have had more time to max out my player level. only won 5 kart pros in 7 years because of connectivity. or lack, thereof.

i own a few of the stools, and have been looking for this x-men vs. street fighter stool for quite some time. this is the only one i never see listings for on marketplace, or ebay. does anybody have one of these in their collection? does this stool even exist? i feel like it has to, because my mvc came with the mvc stool in box. i feel like x-men vs. sf would have been bundled the same way — unless x-men vs. sf was the walmart version of mvc, then maybe not? any insight is greatly appreciated!!
i cannot believe the depths to which these cops are willing to sink to protect a guy who has attempted to ruin the lives of a family, a small franchise business couple, and now a youtuber — why are the police protecting the criminal?? are they being paid-off by bricks and minifigs?! did these cops have something to do with the theft??? what im saying is — was this a plot orchestrated by these cops?!?! because why else would they act this way?! what is their stake in all of this? it feels to me, at this point, there’s a grander operation at play here. just trying to follow the logic. this whole thing is just so wild.
