Wish we got more visuals with The Fall-Off

Now before i get jumped by all the 30 somethings saying "just listen to the music lil bro", i LOVE the album. I've been listening to it NON-STOP. But to me an album as a work of art is a little bit more than just the raw music itself (although that's obviously the most important part) if you really want to create something that truly feels alive, vibrant, and breathing, so I just wish we got more visuals. I really liked all the graphics with the the amber orange text on the black background, and i REALLY loved those posters from the MDL era saying "The Fall-Off is Inevitable" with the graphic of him falling.

I just really like this album (it's in my top 5 albums ever, idc, it's not recency bias, it's genuinely one of my favorite pieces of art), i just wish it's visual identity got fleshed out a little bit more.

Like, with FHD drive everything was drenched in this all encompassing, deep blue (think Apparently's music video, the deluxe cover for FHD, a lot of the lighting during the live performances). KOD has this really bright, vibrant thing going on with all of it's visuals, to the point it even seemed satirical with how over the top it was, and that really played into the concept well.

The Off-Season also had a blue thing going, similarly do FHD, but it felt much colder. It genuinely felt like working through the winter, grinding. The music videos also had this rawer vibe. Especially punchin' the clock and applyin' pressure.

I know Cole isn't a Tyler The Creator, or a Childish Gambino but i truly would have liked to see more visual stuff, because EVERYTHING we got in this album cycle was really pretty. I LOVE the album cover, i LOVE all the gold and black shit, i LOVE the back covers of the physical releases (both the CD and the Vinyl are SO sick).

The og album cover and it's back cover are both pictures Cole took when he was a teen, and the booklets and whatnot in the physical releases are all pictures of Fayettville Cole took in recent years, so it would have been cool to maybe see more pics his took during his childhood in the marketing or whatever.

Also, i'm far from the first person to say this, but the lack of music videos is also a bummer! I know Cole never did that many videos, but all the visuals accompanying MDL and it's rollout were hella cool. Hopefully with the upcoming tour we get some! Some of what i mentioned (stage design) has literally not been revealed yet lol.

Do protective styles HAVE to be done on FRESHLY washed hair??

I wanna do Marley twitsts for the first time this week, but every time i watch a tutorial for ANY kind of style that requires that type of manipulation, the person in the video says they wash on FRESHLY washed hair. Why is that? Is it non-negotiable?

With my schedule at the moment, i KNOW i cannot clear an entire day to wash, condition, moisturize, seal in moisture, section, and do an entirely new hairstyle i have no experience with in ONE sitting, and so i'm thinking of washing and conditioning my hair on one day, perhaps twist it up and already put my hair in simple two strands to set up my sections, and go in with my extensions a day/couple days later.

Is this silly? What's the purpose of doing protective styles on FRESHLY washed hair in the first place? Is it just that that means your next wash is further away, which makes it so that you can keep the style looking fresh without having to wash it for a longer period of time?

Help my find chocolate for my dear Friend

Hello,

It is my dear friend's birthday on July 8th. This one time, she mentioned that her all time favourite candy is this ukranian chocolate, the Roshen Blueberry Nougat chocolate bar.

She also mentioned that she hasn't had it in years because her family moved to the Czech Republic (where we live) when the war with Russia broke out.

I would LOVE to be able to get it for her, but unfortunately i have no where to buy it or order it from here in the Czech Republic. But from my research, i've found that some Russian and Ukranian stores over the world have them. If anyone would be so kind as to buy them, and ship them to me (which i would pay for, of course), it would mean the WORLD to me.

Help me out please!

He's genuinely a bum

Barely any music over the past 2 decades of being active as a rapper, constantly no-shows for his live performances, a Diddy apologist.

I like his raps so much, he's definitely penned some of my favorite verses EVER. But jeez is it hard being a fan.

Is the Lich actually a good villain or is it just aura?

Idk man I constantly see the Lich being called one of the greatest villains in cartoon history, and while I think he’s cool, isn’t he also kind of maybe a little bit whatever?

Dont get me wrong, I STILL get goosebumps whenever I watch the “Fall.” scene. That’s aura. But is he anything more than aura? Is he just two little aura children stacked on top of eachother in a menacing aura coat?

Like, I TRULY think he’s really cool, I really like him as a part of the adventure time mythos, I like the fact that he’s honestly just another bad dude, but one that simply takes up more space, considerably more space, but still not ALL that much space.

It makes the world feel that much more vast. Like, this guy? Oh yeah, he’s the Lich, an ancient evil, the essence of the catalyst commet, the last scholar of Golb. He’s in like, 13 episodes, hes pretty scary.
All this to say. That still dont make him the GOAT. He’s neat tho I like him
Thoughts?☝🏾☝🏾🧐

Will he perform the entire album?

Yo I’m really excited for the fall off tour, but I can’t help but wonder if he’ll actually perform the ENTIRE album.

I would LOVE for that to be the case, I mean, it IS The Fall Off tour, but how realistic is that? The album is almost two hours long, would that mean he’d only perform it, with not much else? His discography is so large atp, i truly wonder which non TFO songs will make the cut.
This is presumably his last BIIIIIIIIIG tour, so I’d imagine he’d wanna play some deep cuts also.

Maybe he’ll only to one verse, or only the chorus for some songs, like he’s done in some previous live performances (like when he used the chorus for I Get Up as a lil interlude thing for the FHD 10 year anniversary concert, or how he rapped the first verse of cLOUDs over A Star Is Born).
Thoughts ⁉️

Why are Lonely at the Top and Ocean Way considered to be "Bonus Songs"?

I don't really get what makes them bonus tracks. BONUS implies that they're add ons and extras that shouldn't really be considered when looking at the album like one, cohesive piece of art. But like, lonely at the top is the PERFECT finisher for disc 1.

As i'm typing this, i realized that i somewhat understand that the album MAYBE flows better if we go from Bombs in the Ville/Hit the Gas to 39 intro. But honestly..both works.

I KIND of get it a little bit more with Ocean Way, but even then, i feel like it feels like a better ending than and The whole World is The Ville (which i ALSO love, it's perfect as the second to last track)

I just don't get why they're classified as BONUSES when Lonely at the Top is lowk one of the most substantive on the ENTIRE album, arguably THE MOST substantive. To me it bring's the most interesting themes in the track list. Not to put down the other tracks btw, i LOVE this album i have not stopped listening to it since it came out but most of the songs don't talk about anything new, a lot of it is stuff we've heard before, even from Cole himself- but perfected.

Lonely at the Top works as a new, interesting perspective on the topics Cole explores on it.

Idk what do you guys think lol

can i keep these braids in for one more week or has their time come?😔

Ive had these braids in for 60 days, so like, 8 weeks and 4 days atp.
I’ve got like, 3c/4a-ish, medium porosity, mid density hair. I mist them with water and oil my scalp probably once per week (or as needed). I wash them regularly still.
Will i experience any side effects to leaving them in this long? This is my first time getting box braids, so idk.
I think they’re neat tho, a 🥷🏿 can do pigtails, thats pretty sick to me
I don’t think they look super cooked, but i still wanna get a second opinion!

What can we expect from the setlists?

What do you guys think the setlist is gonna look like for the upcoming tour?

Mostly stuff from the new album with some classics like Dancing in The Rain sprinkled in?

Her favorite color is one of my favourite pieces of art ever. I've got the CD and i'm seeing him with Exile in a couple of months. What are my chances of getting it signed?
