I know enough about House, never seen The Good Doctor. I got curious and looked up the backstory behind Shaun's "I am a surgeon" meltdown. My understanding is that Shaun was too blunt about some news, did his job well anyway and saved a life, yet was still removed from his surgeon position because of his bluntness. I can see why it's frustrating to be prohibited from doing your job for reasons unrelated to your ability to do your job. I feel like this is also something House would understand very well?

House also hates the sugarcoating and meaningless professionalism that's expected of him as a doctor, and even gets pissed at Cameron not being able to break bad news to worried parents of sick children. Wouldn't House appreciate Shaun's inability to "beat around the bush"? Even though House may not have had the same meltdown as Shaun, I would argue that it's only cause when Cuddy reprimands him or forbids him from working on a case, he just does whatever he wants anyway. But he wouldn't tolerate or just obey orders from someone forbidding him from doing what he does best, and couldn't you make the argument that Shaun is kind of doing the same thing, just less "badass" and more temper-tantrum?

If any watchers of The Good Doctor see this, let me know if I'm hella wrong

ALSO!! I know Shaun is not a good Autism representation, but my question has nothing to do with whether he is Autistic or not, so just forget he has that diagnosis for now, cause with or without the ASD label, he would still behave the same way. I wanna know if House would respect Shaun for being the way he is, 'cause my (LIMITED) understanding of Shaun is just that he does his job well, and everything else is some stupid game he doesn't know how to play. Thoughts?

Hello! I finally did some research about geocaching and today I’m gonna go find some! I’m really excited about the idea of being able to leave treasures for others to find but I have some questions about etiquette. Can I leave small photos in the container? Of myself or friends or just cool pictures I’ve taken? Can I leave a small note that says something like “Hi! I like to do [hobby], what do you guys like to do?” and then come back to it in a few weeks or months to see if anyone replied? None of this would be on the log document and I’d bring my own paper and only put the notes/photos there if there’s more than enough room. Would that be okay?

In the parking lot here theres this god awful ringing sound that is ONLY inside the structure and my current theory is that it’s there to deter homeless people from sleeping here at night, but does anyone know for sure what it is and why it’s there? It’s so bad that I can’t even use the parking lot for shade when I need to wait for the bus that stops right next to it, I would actually rather boil under the sun. why??????

[TOMT][TIKTOK/INSTAGRAM VIDEO][2023/24/25???]Sorry, I read in the guidelines that for music questions, I have to include a hum or something that sounds like the part I remember but this isnt like me remembering a part-- Im looking for a video where this girl in her own house (I think at the bottom of her stairs) is playing acoustic guitar with that bottleneck tool on one of her fingers vocalising to her own playing. The way this girl played guitar and sang was so strange and hard to describe but imagine she was singing lyrics to a song she remembered but didnt know the lyrics to, so shes coming up with strange sounds that melodically and phonetecally (?) work good enough as replacements for the real words in the song, except shes not humming a real song but playing her acoustic guitar while doing these weird vocals making it sound like the guitar is singing with her (lots of plucking strings and silencing them quickly, sliding up and down the strings with the bottlenose tool, and bending vibrato, not so much clean chords, strumming, and letting the sound ring out) I think I saw it on instagram but if not then defenetly tiktok, and she had this caption which was something along the lines of "having a conversation with my guitar" or "talking to my guitar" or "singing with my guitar" basically some variation of her having a musical or conversational dialogue with the instrument. I'm sorry if this description is extremely weird. I don't think the video was super niche, but not millions of likes viral either. From what I remember, it had several hundred thousand likes and counting. If anyone who sees this post knows the video I'm talking about but also can't find it, please add any details I didn't mention!

EXACTLY what I said. Now I’m not saying we should just allow people to take a leak in crowded water fountains, but holy shit I have yet to find a single person who decides to pee in public because they’re perverted or something. Its always in a moment of desperation, like I am in right now. There HAS to be a way to make it legal to pee behind a bush or something without letting weirdoes go on pee rampages. And I’m putting this in the women subreddit because as a woman I think its so fricking unfair how conspicuous the female peeing position is. if I was a guy I know I would not have this problem!
